It took a little time but Nugent had a breakout season for the Bengals last year. He set career highs in field goals made, points and had the second best field-goal percentage of his career. He finished with 132 points and missed just five field goals all season. The Bengals offense provided him with more chances and he took advantage. Nugent has 100-point season three of seven in the NFL. He finally seems to have found a permanent home in Cincinnati and is in the prime of his career at age 30. Nugent has a strong leg and is improving his accuracy, making nearly 87 percent of his kicks last season.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Nugent is a reason so many fantasy teams wait on a kicker. He was an afterthought for many fantasy teams last year but was among the league leader in points. He can finish with similar numbers this season in an emerging offense. Nugent is a legit No. 1 for fantasy teams, scoring around 125 or so points.
