Dreessen saw a dip in production last season but topped 300 yards for the third straight season. He caught 28 passes, which was the second highest total of his career. He even had a 100-yard game last season but that was the only game all year he was over 50 yards. He has some upside for the coming season with a move to Denver. He could be the starting tight end in a passing game that has Peyton Manning at the helm. And even if he doesn't win the starter's job, he should get plenty of playing time as the Broncos should use a lot of two tight-end sets. Dreessen isn't flashy, but has pretty good hands and finds space in the secondary. He is tough to bring down with the ball in his hands.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Dreessen is a nice sleeper for the coming year. He could set career highs across the board and serve as a serviceable backup or spot starter for fantasy teams. It wouldn't surprise to see him get 500 or 600 yards and five touchdowns in this offense.

Denver Broncos tight ends have caught 64 passes this season, already more than in any season since 2008. TE Jacob Tamme has 34 receptions for 312 yards and a touchdown, while TE Joel Dreessen has 27 catches for 250 and four touchdowns. Tamme and Dreessen both run well, allowing either to also set up as a slot receiver, or even occasionally as a wideout. 'Dreessen and Tamme can play (multiple positions), and that's a big part of our offense,' QB Peyton Manning said. 'In certain progressions, those guys are the first read. Coach (Mike) McCoy's done a good job of utilizing those guys, trying to get those guys in (favorable) matchups. Mike tries to move those guys around.'

Denver Broncos TE Jacob Tamme managed just two receptions for 13 yards in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons Monday, Sept. 17. Tamme wasn't even the top TE statistically on his team, as Joel Dreessen bested him by three yards with the same amount of receptions.
Fantasy Impact: Both of these tight ends are going to be hit or miss some weeks as they aren't sure things in this offense.
