Summary

Running Back Rank: #212
Overall: #863

Weaver suffered major injuries last season, getting hurt the first game of the season. He tore his ACL and posterior lateral corner in his left knee, but also suffered nerve damage. He had surgery to repair the knee, follow-up surgery to clean out scar tissue, and another surgery to repair a tendon in his foot. Needless to say, Weaver is no sure thing to play in 2011. He has a long road back. Weaver is an effective player when playing, though. He had a career-high 323-rushing yards in 2009 and has 15 or more receptions three seasons. Weaver is a big back with decent speed and above-average hands. He isn't a speed demon by any means, but a capable fullback worthy of some touches as a rusher or receiver.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Weaver is too big of an injury risk to be worth picking in your draft, but he might be worth a grab once the season starts if he proves to be healthy and is producing.

Notes

Free-agent FB Leonard Weaver (knee) said he does not think he will be able to play next season because his knee is still not fully healed. Weaver suffered nerve damage when he injured his knee which continues to affect the use of his left foot. He also suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament as well as a torn posterior lateral corner.
Fantasy Impact: At this point, his career could be over.
