Wide Receiver Rank: #31 Overall: #137
Hester is becoming more and more a part of the Bears offense. In fact, he should be the No. 1 receiver for the Bears this season, an offense that should be improved with Jay Cutler at quarterback. Hester had an encouraging finish to last season, getting 50-plus yards in four of his last six games. Hester more than doubled his numbers from the previous season, finishing with 51 receptions for 665 yards. His route running really improved last season, and Hester's hands are getting better and better. He is a big-play threat with the ball in his hands because of his top speed and moves. And Hester remains a prolific return man, having 11 return scores in three seasons.

Hester has much more value heading into this season, especially with Cutler throwing him passes. He seems a pretty good bet to get 1,000 yards and seven or so touchdowns. He has that potential. So consider him a solid No. 2 for fantasy teams. |

| Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz said during a radio interview that he envisions WR Devin Hester as a dominant slot receiver, a shift that could result in him being removed from the starting lineup. However, Martz could utilize plenty of three-wide receiver sets, which would provide Hester with ample opportunity to start. 'Devin Hester in that role could just be stupid good, if that makes sense to you,' Martz said. 'What we can do with him inside, the matchups we can get with him on third corners, safeties and linebackers would be absolutely remarkable.' Martz is cognizant of Hester's role on special teams and the value that he brings to the team as a returner and sees a way for him to excel in all areas. 'I think it would be very difficult for him take every snap as a wide receiver and play at a high level on special teams, so we have to look at that,' Martz said. 'I think the role I have in mind for him would allow him to do both and do it at a high level.' |
| Fantasy Impact: Hester could get more receptions in this new role, but his touchdown and yardage totals could go down some. |

If he brings that offense he had in St. Louis, we're going to be a tough team to beat,' Hester said. |
