Wide Receiver Rank: #163 Overall: #512
Hixon tore his ACL in early-season workouts last year. He was hurt early enough last season, though, that his knee injury might not be much of a factor as soon as training camp opens. He can be 100 percent for the start of the season. Hixon isn't much of a factor offensively as a receiver, especially with the quality options at receiver for the Giants, but he is a top return man. He has two return touchdowns for his career and averages 24.6 yards per kick return for his career. Hixon should play a reserve role at receiver as well as get plenty of work on special teams. Hixon is a big receiver with some strength and plus speed. He isn't a great route runner, which is one of the reasons he doesn't get more playing time.

Hixon probably set his career highs at receiver in 2008. He has little value in most leagues, but is a guy to draft in leagues that reward return yardage. His overall receiving numbers just won't be very high - maybe 20 receptions for 200 yards. |
