SUMMARY
Running Back Rank: #62
Overall: #261

Harrison quickly fell out of favor with the Browns early in the season and was dealt to the Eagles. He didn't get a ton of work with his new team, but did get extensive work in a couple games and performed pretty well. He had a 100-yard game in Week 10 and totaled 116 total yards the last game of the season. Harrison averaged an impressive six yards per carry with the Eagles. Harrison had a breakout year in 2009, topping a 1,000 total yards for the first time in his career. But he has fewer than 400-rushing yards in all his other seasons. Harrison isn't the biggest back, but is a solid playmaker with some big-play ability. He has quick feet, decent speed and above-average hands. Unless Harrison adds some weight and strength, he'll remain more of a change-of-pace back in the NFL. Harrison should be the top backup in Detroit this season, backing up Jahvid Best.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Harrison isn't likely to repeat his '09 season in the near future, but he could get 500 total yards and a few scores this season. He has some potential if given the chances but it remains to be seen how much work he'll get in the Lions' offense. If he starts getting the goal-line work, consider him as a No. 3 or 4 back.
Detroit Lions RB Jerome Harrison (head) was scheduled to undergo surgery Friday, Oct. 21, on his brain tumor. Head coach Jim Schwartz said he expects Harrison to address his health situation at some point.

Detroit Lions RB Jerome Harrison (head) was not traded to the Philadelphia Eagles because a physical showed he has a brain tumor. He has begun receiving treatment for the tumor and his long-term outlook for his life as well as his playing career appears to be good. He is expected to miss the rest of this season.
Fantasy Impact: Crazy. This trade might have saved his life. Hopefully, Harrison makes a full recovery.

The trade between the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles has been voided, as RB Jerome Harrison had some health issues. RB Ronnie Brown is back with the Eagles, and Harrison is back on the Lions roster.
Philadelphia Eagles RB Jerome Harrison will serve as the backup to RB LeSean McCoy alongside RB Dion Lewis.

The Detroit Lions acquired RB Ronnie Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles Tuesday, Oct. 18, in exchange for RB Jerome Harrison and an undisclosed 2013 draft pick.
Fantasy Impact: His value is about the same with the trade. He'll get sporadic work in a reserve role.

Detroit Lions backup RB Jerome Harrison has impressed head coach Jim Schwartz with his play during the preseason. 'Every time he goes in, he gains yards. He is a very, very productive runner,' Schwartz said. Schwartz added that Harrison doesn't get thrown for too many losses and has done a good job of breaking a lot of long runs.
Fantasy Impact: Harrison is worth a late-round flier come draft day. He has some upside, especially if you consider Jahvid Best is the only back ahead of him on the depth chart.

Detroit Lions RB Jerome Harrison had eight carries for 24 yards rushing against the New England Patriots Saturday, Aug. 27. He also caught three passes for 51 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Harrison looked alright. He should be the No. 2 in Detroit, giving him some value in a good offense.

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said the team will be looking for more production from RBs Jerome Harrison and Mike Bell in the second preseason game. The two running backs combined for 13 yards on 11 carries in the first preseason game.
Fantasy Impact: Harrison has a chance to play a decent role with the team if he starts showing more in camp and preseason action.

The Detroit Lions have signed free-agent RBs Jerome Harrison (Eagles) and Mike Bell (Browns). Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Fantasy Impact: Harrison should be the No. 2 back for the Lions and could vulture up the goal-line work.
