Anderson caught a pass in two games with the Texans before getting released. He caught on with the Redskins and played four games with them, finishing with six catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. So he finished the year with seven receptions for 79 yards. Anderson does have a couple seasons with 200-plus yards but his career high in yards is just 370. He has just 18 receptions the last two seasons. At this point, he is trying stay in the NFL. Anderson will battle for a reserve role this coming season. Anderson isn't too big, but has decent speed and plus hands. He has the makeup to be a decent No. 3 or slot receiver.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Anderson seemed to reach his peak a few seasons back. He'll be lucky to top 20 catches after the last two years.

'Knowledge of defenses and just a knack to find open spots,' Anderson said, of what makes a good slot receiver. 'As a receiver you either win vs. man or you sell cars. You have to win vs. man because that's what's gonna happen in the slot. And you have to have more spatial awareness inside.'

Washington Redskins head coach Miuke Shanahan said Monday, Nov. 14, that WR David Anderson was 'excellent' in his debut in Week 10. Anderson was used in the slot, which is why he played more than WR Anthony Armstrong.

Fantasy Impact: Anderson still isn't worth using for fantasy teams. He might get a few receptions but that is about it.
