Breaston had just seven receptions in 10 games last season. He took a big step backwards after having 61 receptions his first season with the Chiefs. But he struggled with knee issues and lacked burst from the past few seasons. Before last season, Breaston had four straight seasons with 700-plus yards. When he is healthy and on his game, Breaston is a big-play receiver, averaging over 13.3 yards per reception for his career. He separates in a hurry, but also has decent hands and his route-running is getting better. Breaston seems more reserve material than anything, though, at this stage of his career.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Even if he gets back to his usual numbers, Breaston isn't much of a help for fantasy teams. He has never been a great fantasy play. He might get 500 or so yards and a few scores if all goes well for him this year. We don't see a big turnaround in his future.

Free-agent WR Steve Breaston (knee) is considering traveling to Germany to have a procedure on his knee to repair inflammation and early arthritic symptoms. The procedure includes taking blood out of his body, incubating the blood and injecting it in the injured part of the body. Breaston believes he can pass a physical and sign a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers but wants longer-term solution for his knee problems.
