A concussion ended Boss' season early last year. He played two games with the Chiefs and caught three passes. Last season broke a streak of four straight seasons with 28 or more receptions. Boss has battle injury some the last few seasons, though, and seems to be fighting for an NFL roster spot. Nothing is guaranteed for him right now. For his career, Boss has two seasons with 500-plus yards and three of six seasons with at least five touchdowns. He can be a serviceable starter but not a big producer at tight end. Boss is a steady blocker, though, which gets him playing time. He is a good athlete that can make the tough catch in traffic. Boss also has pretty good speed and leaping ability, making him a good red-zone target.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

His career is going the wrong way. Boss is more of a blocker than pass catcher right now. Don't expect that to change this year. He could get around 10 receptions, making him a stretch for fantasy teams.
