He set career highs but finished with fewer than 400-receiving yards and just 26 receptions. Heyward-Bey flashed his potential, though, having a 100-yard game and another game with 80 yards but went without a catch six other games. The Raiders aren't giving up on Heyward-Bey and still like his upside, but he needs to start making his move this season. Heyward-Bey remains unpolished. His route running is erratic and drops continue to plague him. He remains a great straight-line runner, though, making him an exciting deep threat. Heyward-Bey has a chance to compete for the starting job, but nothing will be handed to him. He needs to take some big steps forward this season to earn that job. FANTASY OUTLOOK Heyward-Bey could have the light go on this season, but that remains a bit of a long shot. A new head coach could help but expecting something more than 600 yards and a few scores is probably a little ambitious.
