The addition of quarterback Colin Kaepernick to the lineup was just the thing to get Crabtree's career going in the right direction. He posted career bests across the board, posting big numbers late in the season. He had 100-yard games three of his last five and had two 100-yard games during the 49ers Super Bowl run. Crabtree had his first 1,000-yard season and topped 80 receptions for the first time. He was the go-to target in an explosive passing attack. Crabtree finally lived up to his potential last season. Crabtree is a pretty polished product despite his young age. Crabtree has plus hands, runs solid routes and is a playmaker. He doesn't have elite speed, but enough to get the job done. Unfortunately, Crabtree suffered a torn Achilles' tendon before the start of the season and is expected to miss much of the year - if not all of it.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Crabtree was setup for a career season but now seems likely to miss the entire year because of the injury. He is worth a late-round look if you have the roster space but we think a receiver returning from this type of injury in six months is a bit of a stretch.

San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree, who was targeted on the team's last three plays of Super Bowl XLVII, said Thursday, March 28, that he lost vision after being hit hard in the face near the goal line on third down. Crabtree said he took such a shot from Baltimore Ravens CB Jimmy Smith that he temporarily couldn't see. 'When the guy hit me, he hit me all in the face,' Crabtree said. 'I'm not tripping. I'm not one to whine about nothing, but he hit me all in the face and I couldn't really see after he hit me ... It's not concussion-like. When you get hit in football, it's going to feel like you can't see. It's going to feel intense. But it snapped back. It happens all the time in football.'

San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree said following Super Bowl XLVII he believed he was interfered with on multiple plays in the game. 'There was a couple of plays where the guy was on me before the ball got to me,' Crabtree said. 'I don't even want to talk about it. It's frustrating, man. It's the game-winning touchdown - makes me sad. It's the Super Bowl. It's what you live for.'
Fantasy Impact: Yeah, Crabtree had a legit beef with that last play but not much he can do now. He had a great finish to the season and postseason, making him a prime target for fantasy teams in 2013.

San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree has not yet been cleared following a sexual assault accusation; however, he is likely to avoid punishment. According to a San Francisco law enforcement source, the woman who lodged the allegation was one of three women who joined Crabtree in a party at a hotel room. The other two women have told investigators that Crabtree didn't assault anyone. Police have not found any physical evidence of an attack, the source added. It hasn't been disclosed whether the woman who said she had been victimized went to a hospital to be examined. The woman went to the police four days after the party.
Fantasy Impact: It is sounding more and more like this is going to go away.
