SUMMARY
Running Back Rank: #38
Overall: #92

The Eagles took McCoy with a second-round pick in this year's draft, hoping to find the eventual replacement for Brian Westbrook. McCoy has the skill set to be a top back in the Eagles system. He is an elusive back with very good hands. He also has plus speed. McCoy should be a great backup to Westbrook, having similar ability. McCoy isn't very big, though, and might need to bulk up to be an every-down back. His outstanding receiving skills should get him plenty of playing time his rookie season.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
With Westbrook's injury history, McCoy has good value as a No. 3 back this season. He has good total yardage potential in a good Eagles offense. McCoy has even more value in PPR leagues. He can near 1,000 total yards and score five or so touchdowns his rookie season.
The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries in Week 8.
Fantasy Impact: McCoy had his best game as a pro. He made a lot of plays.

'We're asking him to do a lot of things formation-wise; he's able to handle that,' Reid said. 'He's really done well, and it looks like he does a nice job in the blitz pick-up part of it. Again, it's not live. We're just asking him to recognize it and step in there and do that, so he's done well with that.' Reid said they'll put a split on McCoy's injured thumb and he'll return to action next week.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said rookie RB LeSean McCoy catches the football 'extremely well' and he will give the team depth at running back. On whether or not he'll be the team's No. 2 running back, Reid said: 'We'll see how he is and how he picks everything up.' In regards to McCoy's blocking ability, Reid said that is something he is going to need to work on. McCoy said Reid told him twice that his blocking will need work, which he is fine with. 'I think everybody has something they can improve on,' McCoy said.
