Summary

Running Back Rank: #4All Players: #4
McCoy rebounded from a down season to have maybe the best season of his career in the Eagles new fast-paced offense. McCoy had topped 2,000 total yards and scored 11 touchdowns. He led the NFL in rushing by almost 300 yards. McCoy had seven 100-yard games and caught 52 passes. He did it all in the offense for the Eagles. McCoy has 1,000-yard rushing seasons three of his last four and double-digit scores two of three years. McCoy is 26 years old and in the prime of his career. McCoy is an elusive back with great hands. He just makes plays in space. McCoy also is a much better runner these days between the tackles, making some tough runs throughout the past few seasons. He is the centerpiece of Chip Kelly's offense, giving him a ton of touches per game.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
McCoy is a top-three fantasy back. He has huge upside in this offense. His touchdown numbers aren't quite those of the other elite backs but he probably has more yardage potential than those games. McCoy is a pretty good bet to top 2,000 total yards once again and score 13 or so touchdowns. You can't go too wrong with McCoy as your No. 1 back. We love his consistency.

comments about LeSean McCoy

Notes

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy carried 22 times for a season-high 149 yards in Week 6 against the New York Giants, although he was held out of the end zone again. He also chipped in with two receptions for five yards.
Fantasy Impact: McCoy had his best game of the season. Hopefully, this is a game that gets him going.

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy said he needs to break more tackles and felt like he was taken down by a lot of desperation tackles in Week 5. 'There's still stuff that we need to do to get better with it, and I think it starts with me,' McCoy said. 'I need to break more tackles. I feel like last game was too many save tackles, like a guy just gets my leg, stuff like that.'

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy said running backs coach Duce Staley removed him late in the team's Week 5 win when the team was trying to run out the clock. McCoy was removed in favor of RB Darren Sproles. 'They called me out. Duce pulled me out,' McCoy said. 'For the most part, if I'm tired, I come out. Then Sproles has his different packages, he has his plays to come in, but the majority of the time, it's just how I'm feeling.' Sproles popped a 25-yard run the first play after replacing McCoy, who had 81 yards on 24 carries in the game. Head coach Chip Kelly noted that sometimes defenses play the run differently when McCoy is in the game compared to Sproles. Sproles seems to receive better blocking at times, and he can be savvier at reading what's in front of him in cramped situations.
Fantasy Impact: You have to be down on McCoy but he has time to get it going again. You can't ignore his past success, especially in this offense.
Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy took himself out of the game in the fourth quarter Sunday, Oct. 5, according to head coach Chip Kelly. The team was trying to ice the game with a six-point lead.
Fantasy Impact: Not sure what is going on here, but we'll keep you posted if anything more comes of this.

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy didn't carry the ball on third or fourth down from the San Francisco 49ers' 1-yard line in fourth quarter of the team's Week 4 loss, and head coach Chip Kelly said he didn't trust the offensive line in the situation. 'We weren't really getting a ton of push at the point of attack,' Kelly said. 'I didn't think we were going to be able to pound it in in that situation.'

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (toe) is not injured, head coach Chip Kelly said Monday, Sept. 29. 'He's not on the treatment list,' Kelly said. 'He does normal maintenance like everybody else, but he hasn't had any injuries where we've done anything with him.' McCoy struggled again in Week 4, and there were rumors his struggles this season have been linked to a turf toe injury suffered during the preseason.

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy is not dealing with any injuries at this time, according to head coach Chip Kelly. McCoy rushed for only 17 yards on 10 carries in Week 4.
Fantasy Impact: The offensive line just isn't playing well right now, That is the main factor for McCoy's issues.

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy had nowhere to run for the second straight week, and head coach Chip Kelly admitted that the offensive line was beat all day by the San Francisco 49ers. We got whooped up front, Kelly said. We're not very good up front right now. We've got a lot of guys banged up. That's not an excuse, it's just the reality. Philadelphia gained just 22 yards on 12 rushing attempts in Week 4, and McCoy ran 10 times for 17 yards. It's only the fifth time in the last 40 years that the Eagles had two straight games with 54 or fewer rushing yards.

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy had 10 carries for 17 yards Sunday, Sept. 28, and has 29 carries for 39 yards in the last two weeks. 'We got whooped up front,' head coach Chip Kelly said. 'We're not very good up front right now. We've got a lot of guys banged up. That's not an excuse, it's just the reality.'
Fantasy Impact: McCoy has been a huge disappointment to date. We think he can get it going but the offensive line needs to get healthy for that to happen.

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy is not concerned with his rushing numbers from Week 3, and said he does not feel like he is struggling after posting 22 yards on 19 carries. "I don't think I'm struggling at all," McCoy said. "I don't know what you mean by that. I don't think I'm struggling, at all. So I don't know what you mean by that."
