Buehler played just four games last season, serving as the kickoff specialist when he played. He didn't score a single point, failing to make a field goal all season. He had 114 points the previous season but made just 75 percent of his field goals. At this point, his career isn't over but Buehler is fighting for a roster spot. He has some upside at age 25 but needs to become much more accurate. His leg is strong, though, and he is an asset on kickoffs and long-distance attempts.

Unless he has a starting job, don't bother. And right now, he doesn't look to be starting this season.

The Dallas Cowboys released PK David Buehler. Buehler was a fifth-round draft choice in 2009 and finishes his career with the Cowboys hitting 24-of-32 field goals and 42-of-44 extra points. As a kickoff specialist, he had a total of 60 touchbacks. He spent most of the 2011 season on Injured Reserve with a groin injury.
Fantasy Impact: He might have a hard time finding work this day and age. He isn't the best place kicker. His value was leg strength, which isn't needed as much with the new rules in place.

The Dallas Cowboys could consider releasing PK David Buehler this offseason because PK Dan Bailey has shown he can handle the field goal and kickoff duties. The team would save $1.26 million if they wanted to release Buehler.
Fantasy Impact: It would make sense to just cut ties with Buehler. The Cowboys really don't need him around.

Dallas Cowboys PK David Buehler (groin) had his conditioning questioned earlier this month by owner/general manager Jerry Jones. The team placed Buehler on Injured Reserve Nov. 10 due to a torn muscle in his groin. 'I am in shape,' Buehler said Wednesday, Nov. 23, although he said he didn't want to get into a back-and-forth with Jones.
