The Dallas Cowboys released PK David Buehler. Buehler was a fifth-round draft choice in 2009 and finishes his career with the Cowboys hitting 24-of-32 field goals and 42-of-44 extra points. As a kickoff specialist, he had a total of 60 touchbacks. He spent most of the 2011 season on Injured Reserve with a groin injury.
Fantasy Impact: He might have a hard time finding work this day and age. He isn't the best place kicker. His value was leg strength, which isn't needed as much with the new rules in place.

The Dallas Cowboys could consider releasing PK David Buehler this offseason because PK Dan Bailey has shown he can handle the field goal and kickoff duties. The team would save $1.26 million if they wanted to release Buehler.

The team placed Buehler on Injured Reserve Nov. 10 due to a torn muscle in his groin.
