Summary

Kicker Rank: #29All Players: #480
Gano had a rocky second season with the Redskins. He made just 75.6 percent of his field goals and missed four field goals between 30 and 39 yards. His issues on shorter kicks could lose his job for the coming season. The Redskins signed veteran Neil Rackers to compete with Gano for the starting job. Gano did score a career-high 118 points last season and has two straight years with at least 100 points. Gano has a solid leg but not spectacular and his accuracy is up and down at this stage of his career. He makes just 73.8 percent of his field goals for his career.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Gano has some value if he is starting but you have to think the starter's job is Rackers to lose. It would be a mild surprise if Gano kept the starting gig in Washington.

comments about Graham Gano

Notes

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said the team will stick with PK Graham Gano despite the fact that he missed an extra point in the team's Week 12 loss. 'It was more mechanical than anything else,' Rivera said. 'He over-strided. His plant leg was ahead of the ball which caused him to come down on the ball and he actually caught the ground first and just pushed it to the right. It's one of those things. You're a little bit anxious and you want to get the ball up and he took a big step.'

The Washington Redskins released PK Graham Gano Tuesday, Aug. 28. Gano missed a league-high 10 kicks last year, but five were blocked.
Fantasy Impact: Kind of a surprise after he beat out Neil Rackers for the kicking job in camp but the team must be higher on Billy Cundiff.

Washington Redskins PK Graham Gano (back) did not participate in organized team activities Thursday, May 31, because he is still dealing with the back injury he suffered Week 17 last season.
Fantasy Impact: This isn't a great sign for Gano, who is going to battle for the starting job this year.

Washington Redskins PK Graham Gano (back) suffered two fractured bones in his lower back in Week 17 and has been rehabbing the injury since the end of the season. His recovery time is expected to be six to eight weeks.
Fantasy Impact: Sounds like he should be fine for next season but we'll keep you posted.

The Washington Redskins had a field goal and extra point blocked in Week 12, but head coach Mike Shanahan said Tuesday, Nov. 29, that PK Graham Gano was not to blame. Shanahan reiterated he is staying with Gano, who has struggled over his first two seasons. "Sometimes it's a tough decisions - do you go with a young guy like Graham? Is he going to keep on getting better or is he not going to take advantage of opportunities? I don't know," Shanahan said.
Fantasy Impact: There isn't much else out there so Gano shoudl be their kicker from here on out.
