Summary

Wide Receiver Rank: #138
Overall: #418

Thomas missed the first give games of the season recovering from a torn Achilles but played the last 11 and posted pretty good numbers in a run-heavy offense. He had two 100-yard games and finished with 551 yards. He was most impressive in the Broncos playoff opener, catching four passes for 204 yards and a touchdown. Thomas can be a prolific receiver in the Broncos new offense led by Peyton Manning. Thomas will be the No. 1 receiver for Manning, which normally translates to good things. Thomas is a big, physical receiver, but also has top speed, making him a big-play threat whenever the ball is in his hands. He could take some time to get on the same page as Manning but should get plenty of looks in what should be a pass-heavy offense.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Thomas is a very intriguing player for the coming season. He has breakout written all over him. He is setup for a 1,000-yard season and double-digit scores. Manning will look his way often. If they can get on the same page in a hurry, Thomas could be among the top fantasy receivers in the game in 2012. We would take him as a top No. 2, though, as he isn't a surefire thing for huge things.

Notes

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (pinkie) had surgery on his left pinkie last month to remove a pin that was put in there when he shattered his finger last September. Thomas has not been working out with QB Peyton Manning like WR Eric Decker has this offseason.

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas does not sound upset over the departure of former QB Tim Tebow. Thomas felt Tebow was often unable to find him in the passing game, even though Tebow threw him that famous slant pass in overtime of the Wild Card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. 'I ain't going to say I was sad because the only thing they remember is that pass,' Thomas said. 'You gotta go back and look at the rest of the games. I wasn't getting no balls and you had to make some of these plays where some players were open and he is not making the throws. But I don't want to talk bad about Tim, but hey I am happy we got Peyton.'
Fantasy Impact: Thomas could have a huge season with Manning throwing him passes this year.
Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas posted 93 yards on six receptions in the AFC Divisional Round playoff loss Saturday, Jan. 14, against the New England Patriots. It was memorable postseason debut for Thomas, who had 10 catches for 297 yards and a touchdown in his first two playoff games.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas is going to be a solid No. 2 or 3 fantasy receiver in 2012. He is only going to get better.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox said Sunday, Jan. 8, that WR Demaryius Thomas can get even better. 'He's young. He's just gonna get better,' Fox said. Thomas scored an 80-yard touchdown in overtime of the Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the longest postseason score in overtime in NFL history.

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas posted seven receptions for 116 yards in Week 15 against the New England Patriots. While Thomas was held out of the end zone for the first time since Week 12, he did record his second 100-yard game in three outings.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas is the top receiver in this offense and should be for years to come.

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas had seven receptions for a game-high 78 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears. WR Matt Willis added four catches for 75 yards, while WR Eric Decker added three grabs and 33 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas is starting to come on in the offense, emerging as the top target. He is worth a look as a No. 3 or 4 for fantasy teams.

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas said he was wide open for his last catch for 40 yards because the Minnesota Vikings were playing a Cover 2 defense and the safety went to cover WR Eric Decker instead of him. 'They were playing cover 2,' Thomas said. 'One safety would cover Deck on top because he's been our big receiver. They kind of forgot about me.'
