Onobun didn't get much of a chance to show off his athletic ability his rookie season, catching two passes for 15 yards in three games. He was inactive most games and eventually landed on Injured Reserve because of a back injury. Onobun has a long way to go to be a consistent producer in the NFL, but he has the ability to eventually help. He played basketball for four years in college before giving football a try for a season. Onobun is a great athlete but remains pretty raw. The Rams might not use the tight end as much this season with Josh McDaniels calling plays, but he could find ways to get the athletic Onobun involved.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
It would be a surprise to see Onobun make much of an impact this season. He could get a few more chances, but don't expect him to get enough work to help fantasy teams. Onobun has a chance to be a bigger factor in a few seasons.
