 #28 Dion Lewis
 Pos: Running Back
NFL Team: PHI
Injury: OK
 Experience: 0
College: Pittsburgh
Height: 68
Weight: 195
Born: 9/27/1990

Summary

Running Back Rank: #210
Overall: #855

Lewis got next to no work the first 15 games of his rookie season but was the lead back most of the last week of the season, rushing 12 times for 58 yards. He had 11 carries before the last week of the season. Lewis has a chance to be the top backup this season, though. He'll get a chance to compete for that job. Lewis seems a good fit for the Eagles' offense. He is a small back with good moves and decent hands. He makes plays in space and can be an asset in the passing game. Lewis also doesn't do too badly between the tackles despite not being the biggest back.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Lewis is worth a handcuff for LeSean McCoy if he lands that top backup job, which is very possible. But McCoy is getting most of the work at running back so Lewis won't get a ton of touches even if he is the top backup. He might get 400 total yards and a few scores if all goes well for him. Draft accordingly.

Notes

Philadelphia Eagles RB Dion Lewis carried nine times for 60 yards in the Week 17 game against the Washington Redskins, which was a breakthrough performance for the guy who is expected to be the primary backup to RB LeSean McCoy in 2012. He finished with 102 yards on 23 carries in his rookie season, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. In the past 25 years, only two Philadelphia rookie RBs Correll Buckhalter (4.5 - 2001) and Ryan Moats (5.1 - 2005) had a higher per-carry average, based on a minimum of 20 carries.
Fantasy Impact: Lewis has a chance to emerge as the top backup in 2012. He certainly has the talent for the position.
