Paul caught two passes for 25 yards and carried once for seven yards in 13 games his rookie season. He wasn't much of a factor for the Redskins. He could move up the depth chart some this season but has even more quality competition for playing time, which isn't good for him. Paul is a strong receiver with plus hands. He lacks some speed and isn't a great route runner just yet. He has some work to do to earn consistent playing time for the Redskins.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

The Redskins have openings at receiver, but Paul probably won't play a huge role in the offense even with that said. He could get a few hundred yards and a score or two, making him a reach for fantasy teams.

Washington Redskins TE Niles Paul could be the team's kick returner next season, and CB Richard Crawford could be the punt returner next season after each show promise in those roles this season.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said he believes TE Niles Paul can be successful as a pass catching tight end because of his speed and physical play. Shanahan said he is not sure how Paul will block until the team is able to put on pads.

Washington Redskins TE Niles Paul said he believes his move from wide receiver to tight end this offseason has gone pretty smoothly. 'I feel it's going as smoothly as it can,' Paul said. 'The passing game stuff is easy for me to pick up on because it's the same stuff I did as a wide receiver. It's just I'm getting more comfortable with coming out of a three-point stance and blocking.'

Washington Redskins WR Niles Paul is expected to move to tight end this season. Paul has been taking part in tight end meetings this offseason and has been asked to learn the lead tight end position as well as the secondary tight end position.
Fantasy Impact: This could get him on the field a little more but don't expect much.
