Smith was drafted by the Patriots but didn't stick with the team. He was picked up by the Bills and played 10 games. He caught four passes for 11 yards in limited action. The Bills aren't too talented at tight end, so Smith could have a chance to make an impact this coming season. He'll compete for playing time with a host of options. Smith is more of a blocker than pass catcher. He is a big, physical tight end that can be an asset in both the rushing and passing games as a blocker. He doesn't have a whole lot of speed or burst, though, which limits his ability to do much as a receiver.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Smith is likely to help more as a blocker than receiver but could get some receptions if he ends up near the top of the depth chart in Buffalo. He might get 20 or so receptions for 250 yards and a few scores, making him a bit of a reach for fantasy teams.
