Burton had two catches in three games before getting placed on Injured Reserve late in the season because of a sprained knee. He will be just fine going forward, though. Burton has a lot of competition to move up the depth chart in Minnesota. He isn't guaranteed a roster spot after spending much of last year on the practice squad. He'll compete to be the No. 4 or 5 receiver this season.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

The Vikings don't have a ton of quality options at receiver but Burton might have a hard time finding the field. He isn't worth a draft spot just yet.

Minnesota Vikings WR Stephen Burton was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster when WR Bernard Berrian was let go. It was a bit surprising since Burton looked very raw in training camp. During one practice, he surprised his teammates by batting down a Hail Mary pass like he was a defensive back. 'It's funny you bring that play up,' head coach Leslie Frazier said. 'That's a sore spot with him, so be careful if you bring that up to him. His teammates tease him, and he doesn't like to be teased about that play.'

Fantasy Impact: Burton will have a hard time finding the field so don't bother with him on your fantasy team.
