Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman praised RB Montee Ball. 'He's a good kid, I can't say kid. He's older than me,' Hillman said with a laugh. 'He's a good dude, he's learning, he's doing good things out on the field. He's going to be good.'

The Denver Broncos could start RB Ronnie Hillman for Week 1, but he is expected to eventually give way to rookie RB Montee Ball, perhaps by the end of September. Veteran RB Knowshon Moreno likely will be used often, as he is the best pass-protecting running back on the team.
Fantasy Impact: Don't discount Hillman this season. He could play a big role - even with Ball around.
Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman said he dropped to 180 pounds last season and is back up to 195 pounds.
Fantasy Impact: This is good news for Hillman, who needs to play at a bigger weight if he hopes to start in this league.

Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman said that last season he dropped to around 180 pounds, while team officials say it was closer to 175. He had weighed 200 pounds at last February's Scouting Combine, but early-season injuries probably played a role in his slow start to last season. Denver will monitor Hillman's weight this summer, and the back hopes to play 2013 at 195 pounds, which is what he has weighed in as during OTAs. He's adjusted his workouts to try meeting that goal. Hillman has been running with the starters this past week but will have to prove he can by physical enough to challenge for No. 1 back duties.
Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said RB Ronnie Hillman will be counted on to have an increased role in the offense this year, and offensive coordinator Adam Gase is expected to utilize him more in the game plan. Manning has high expectations for Hillman this season.
Fantasy Impact: Don't discount Hillman for a breakout season. He has plenty of talent and big-play ability. He has competition for playing time but the ability to earn plenty of work.

The Denver Broncos are working with RB Ronnie Hillman to try to keep his weight up during the season. Hillman dropped to under 180 pounds at the end of the 2012 season.
Fantasy Impact: He won't be able to start in the NFL if he keeps dropping weight like that.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox said he believes RB Ronnie Hillman is capable to become a No. 1 running back in the NFL. Fox said the team expects Hillman to play better next season and receive more playing time.
Fantasy Impact: We wouldn't be surprised if he emerges as the lead back in the Broncos' offense.

The Denver Broncos have big plans for RB Ronnie Hillman in their offense; however, for him to fulfill his potential, Hillman needs another offseason in an NFL strength program. He also needs to attack the line of scrimmage harder and understand where the hole is. At this point in his career, Hillman should be the back in the team's three-wide receiver sets, but he had to play more on early downs after RB Willis McGahee (knee) was injured. Hillman played 18 percent of the team's offensive snaps this past season.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox said rookie RB Ronnie Hillman has plenty to learn in the league, including pass protection. 'If (not trusting him in pass protection) were the case, Ronnie Hillman wouldn't be on our team. We have great confidence in Ronnie. He's a young player that's learning, like all rookies in their rookie season in the National Football League. He's working hard to continue to grow and we're very pleased with Ronnie Hillman,' Fox said. Fox also said Hillman will get better with more repetitions.
Fantasy Impact: It is obvious the Broncos don't trust him just yet, which is why Knowshon Moreno got about all the work last week.
