Summary

Kicker Rank: #10All Players: #265
Walsh will be given every chance to start for the Vikings this coming season. He is the future at the position for the team. Walsh has an extremely big leg and is accurate on kicks less than 40 yards. He will struggle a little on accuracy when he really tries to rip the ball but should get better in that area with more seasoning. The Vikings aren't an explosive offensive team but should provide Walsh with a decent amount of chances.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Walsh is a No. 2 more than a starter for fantasy teams. He'll be worth some spot starts and will have some long-distance kicks, but he'll be a little inconsistent in this offense. A season with around 105 or so points seems about right for Walsh.

Minnesota Vikings PK Blair Walsh booted four field goals (20, 42, 55, 38) in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, including a game-tying 55-yard field goal to force overtime with 20 seconds left in regulation. He then kicked the game-winning field goal from 38 yards. Walsh set a team record for longest field goal in a season opener, and he became just the fourth Vikings kicker to boot one from 50 or more yards in a Week 1 game. Fantasy Impact: A good showing for the rookie. He could help fantasy teams in an offense that should be better.

'It was good to see him come in and kick that field goal early,' head coach Leslie Frazier said. 'The conditions were not great conditions, and he showed some poise and he had a touchback as well.'
