SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #62
Overall: #341

Brunell served as the Saints top backup last season, but didn't get a pass attempt backing up Drew Brees. Brunell isn't an every-week starter at this stage of his career (38 years old), but can do well in a backup role because of his experience. Brunell never had a rocket for an arm, but is accurate and can make plays on the move. He can be a competent backup that can start and produce if needed.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Has very little value even if pressed into a starting role.
James Varney, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints impending free-agent QB Mark Brunell said he would like to re-sign with the team. 'I certainly would enjoy coming back,' Brunnell said. 'From my perspective I think it's a good fit, and I just can't say enough about the team and the organization.' As a player with more than 10 years experience, the Saints must offer Brunell a minimum of $885,000, a figure that would represent a pay cut. Neither the Saints nor Brunell's agent seemed eager to divulge where things stand between the player and the team at the moment.

Fantasy Impact: Brunell got a little action last season and didn't look great. We aren't sure the Saints would bring him back.
