Brunell served as the Saints top backup last season, but didn't get a pass attempt backing up Drew Brees. Brunell isn't an every-week starter at this stage of his career (38 years old), but can do well in a backup role because of his experience. Brunell never had a rocket for an arm, but is accurate and can make plays on the move. He can be a competent backup that can start and produce if needed.
