SUMMARY
Wide Receiver Rank: #195
Overall: #603

Moss played for three different teams last season, which should tell you something about his season. The Patriots shipped him off early in the year to the Vikings, who got rid of him after just four games. He ended the year with the Titans, playing eight games with the team but getting just six receptions. Moss could barely crack the lineup for the Titans, a team looking for playmakers in the passing game. At this stage, who knows what to expect from Moss? He still has talent, but can be a handful for coaches and still has a tendency to take off plays. And his talent level has dropped some at age 34. He remains a deep threat because of his size and speed, but is pretty one dimensional at this point of his career. Moss had three straight 1,000-yard, double-digit touchdown season before last year. His overall receiving numbers are among the best in football history. Moss announced his retirement before the start of the season, so feel free to take him off your draft board.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Moss retired before the start of the season. He had a great career but went out a little on a sour note. He was arguably the greatest fantasy receiver every.
Retired WR Randy Moss continues to receive a few calls on occasion from teams. However, Moss has said no to the suitors.
Fantasy Impact: At this point, it doesn't look like he'll return.

The Tennessee Titans aren't expecting to look to sign retired WR Randy Moss now that WR Kenny Britt (knee) is out for the season.

The Dallas Cowboys are not interested in signing retired WR Randy Moss. It has been reported that Moss would be willing to listen of the Cowboys called him.

Continuing an ongoing storyline, retired WR Randy Moss is open to returning to the NFL if he can find the right situation that has a seasoned quarterback and proper financial compensation. The New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears could have interest in him.

Retired NFL WR Randy Moss said Thursday, Sept. 15, while playing golf in the Foxboro area that he will not return to the league to play for the New England Patriots or any team. 'No, I'm done,' Moss said. 'I'm just here golfing, minding my business.'
Fantasy Impact: We still think he would return to the "right" team but nothing seems on the horizon.

Updating a previous report, the agent for recently retired WR Randy Moss said Saturday, Sept. 10, that he has not been contacted by the New Orleans Saints, and to his knowledge, the team has expressed no interest in Moss. An earlier report stated that Moss was spotted at the team's facility Saturday.

The New Orleans Saints appear to have some interest in retired WR Randy Moss. Moss, according to sources, was at the team's facility Saturday, Sept. 10. The Saints are in the market for a receiver after WR Marques Colston (collarbone) suffered a broken collarbone during Week 1.
Fantasy Impact: We still aren't sure if we believe these reports but it wouldn't surprise to see the Saints at least kick the tires on this one as they are hurting at receiver.

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady said during a radio interview he would welcome the idea of bringing back retired WR Randy Moss to the team. 'You never know in the NFL,' Brady said. 'I love Randy, he's one of the greatest receivers in the history of the game, one of the greatest players I've had a chance to play with. But unfortunately, I don't make personnel decisions. If I did, I'd still have all my friends here ... I love the guy, he's a great friend of mine, and if he ever did come back and play, I'd welcome him with open arms.'
Fantasy Impact: We highly doubt Moss returns to New England after last season.

Retired WR Randy Moss may return to the NFL if the right opportunity presented itself, according to an anonymous source. Moss has been working out almost everyday and is keeping himself in great physical condition. The source also said Moss does regret leaving the New England Patriots and that would most likely be the only team he would play for in the NFL if he would return.
Fantasy Impact: Moss seems very unlikely to return this season.

The Philadelphia Eagles were not one of the two teams that made a contract offer to WR Randy Moss before he filed his retirement papers earlier this week.
