Summary

Kicker Rank: #2
Overall: #117

A move to San Francisco certainly didn't hinder Akers' career. In fact, he had his best season as a pro, scoring a league best and career high 166 points. He had more than 50 field-goal attempts for the first time in his career. And he made 84 percent of his kicks, which is above his career average. Akers had a great season and proved he isn't ready to slow down just yet at age 37. Akers has at least 139 points four straight seasons. Akers remains an accurate kicker with a strong leg. He will struggle on some really long kicks at this stage of his career, but plays in an offense that gives him plenty of chances for field goals and extra points. He has 30-plus field-goal attempts five straight seasons.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
It would be a shock to see him match last year but he can have another big season in this offense. Akers remains a solid No. 1 for fantasy teams. He is a top-10 kicker. Akers can finish with around 125 or so points, making him a reliable fantasy starter.
