Summary

Kicker Rank: #27
Overall: #477

A shoulder injury cut Lindell's season short last year. He played just half the year but was solid when playing. He made 86.7 percent of his field goals, which was his best total since 2007. But he is 35 years old and coming off an injury-plagued season so the Bills brought in competition for Lindell. Rookie John Potter will compete with Lindell for the starting job. Lindell has the experience but will need to prove he is healthy and kicking well to win the job. Lindell has six 100-point seasons for his career. He doesn't have a huge leg, but makes up for that with above average accuracy on all his kicks.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Lindell isn't a top fantasy option even if he wins the starting job so you might just want to go with other options. He probably isn't worth the risk as the Bills likely will try to give the rookie every chance to win the job, trying to get younger at the position.

Notes

The Buffalo Bills drafted PK John Potter in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, but he is not likely to push PK Rian Lindell for the placekicking duties. Potter is viewed as a kickoff specialist.
Fantasy Impact: We'll see. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have a kickoff specialist this day and age.
