Wide Receiver Rank: #88 Overall: #257
For his standards, Ochocinco had a bit of a down year. He finished with less than 900-receiving yards and 70 receptions. He had a few big games (two 100-yard games), but also a lot of games that he did next to nothing (eight games with less than 50 yards). Ochocinco took a backseat to Terrell Owens early in the season, which got him fewer targets in the passing game. Ochocinco has a chance for a rebound season, though, heading to the Patriots, where he might be the top receiver on the roster. He should get plenty of targets in a pass-happy offense. Ochocinco has down years two of the last three, showing it could be more of a trend than a fad. He does have seven 1,000-yard seasons for his career, though. Ochocinco is a big-play threat, capable of stretching the field in a hurry. He also has plus hands and runs very good routes.

Ochocinco isn't a bad buy-low candidate, but you have to wonder how much he has left at age 33. He certainly has upside and a track record of success, but has shown some signs of decline. It wouldn't surprise to see him get back to 1,000 yards with the Patriots, but don't expect big touchdown totals (double-digit scores just once for his career). Consider him a low-end No. 2 or solid No. 3 for fantasy teams. Don't reach too soon on him because of the name. |

| New England Patriots WR Chad Ochocinco hasn't complained about his role in the offense, or lack thereof, and he is just happy to be with the team at Super Bowl XLVI. One of the things I was really happy about was that this was one of the few times, or really the only time, that I won't be home at the Martin Luther King parade because I'm always home the first week of January.' |
