SUMMARY
Running Back Rank: #90
Overall: #425

A move back to Indy was just the thing to get Rhodes going, again. He had over 800 total yards and nine touchdowns. He knows the Colts offense and was a more than capable backup or spot starter in the system. Rhodes is a small back, but he runs with power and has the speed to break a play to the outside. And he is a decent receiver, which will get him some added playing time. He hasn't rushed for 1,000 yards since his rookie season, though, and is now 30 years old.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Nothing flashy, but Rhodes might get 500 total yards and a couple scores, making him a decent depth guy at running back for fantasy teams.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette's Rob Demovsky reports the Green Bay Packers worked out free-agent RBs Ahman Green (Texans) and Dominic Rhodes (Bills) Monday, Oct. 19, according to an NFL source.
Fantasy Impact: The Packers are kind of thin at running back because of injury, so looking at these guys can't hurt.

Adam Schefter, of ESPN, reports the New York Giants worked out free-agent RBs Dominic Rhodes (Bills) and T.J. Duckett (Seahawks) Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron said the team didn't make any easy moves when it came to cutting players at the deadline. In regards to running back depth, he noted he wishes the team was five-deep at running back and even said he wishes they could take seven players into a game. By releasing RB Dominic Rhodes, the Bills are down to tailbacks Fred Jackson and Xavier Omon for the first three games while Marshawn Lynch serves his suspension. 'We wish Dominic the best. He's a good player,' Jauron said of his former back.

Alex Marvez, of FOXSports.com, reports the Buffalo Bills have released RB Dominic Rhodes.
Fantasy Impact: This is kind of a surprise, leaving the Bills thin at running back while Marshawn Lynch is suspended. Rhodes is likely to find work somewhere before the season starts.

Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron wanted to add RB Dominic Rhodes as his third, experienced tailback during the offseason in order to help lighten the load on RBs Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson. Jauron liked the way both runners were utilized in the offense last year, but he wanted another dependable back to add to the mix, too. 'We'd like to take a little bit of pressure off of them,' Jauron said of Lynch and Jackson.
