Quarterback Rank: #46 Overall: #266
Garrard missed the last game of the season because of a broken finger. He played pretty well before that injury, though. He had the most touchdowns of his career, throwing for 23 while rushing for five (28 total). Garrard had failed to top 20 touchdowns in any season before this one. He was a little up and down, though, having two or more scores nine games while failing to score in four others. Garrard still wasn't too consistent for the Jags, which is why the Jags used a first-round pick on Blaine Gabbert. Garrard likely will start this season, but could be on a short leash and his time in Jacksonville is about over. Garrard has a good arm and decent accuracy. He flashes brilliance at times, but also struggles with accuracy and decision making at the wrong times. Garrard is an asset as a runner, having 279 or more yards three straight seasons. He can makes plays with his legs. The Jags have a run-first offense and lack playmakers at receiver, which tends to hold Garrard back some.

Garrard is too erratic to depend on as a starter, especially with Gabbert pushing him for playing time. As long as he is starting, Garrard is a good backup or platoon option for fantasy teams. He can get you about 20 scores and 3,000-passing yards. The key to Garrard is trying to figure out when he'll have his big games. Good luck with that. |

'Now you know the difference between a first-class organization like Indy, and a sorry organization like the Jags. Indy gave their QB a contract even though he couldn't play all season ... David was told his back was fine. So he took them for their word. Now he has to go to surgery, and Jacksonville is saying, 'Not my problem.' What a first class organization!' |

| Free-agent QB David Garrard (Jaguars) said he wants to play this season but is looking to sign with a team that is committed to him. | While some initial reports noted free-agent QB David Garrard (Jaguars) didn't sign with the Miami Dolphins due to money, new reports are pointing toward Garrard being content sitting out the season and entering the free-agent market next year. Reports noted Garrard was willing to play for $1 million guaranteed this year, and sources have noted the Dolphins would have been willing to pay possibly three times that. Garrard simply did not show a great desire to play right now when he meet with the Dolphins, and part of that reason might be that the Dolphins are 0-4. If a winning team came knocking, Garrard may reconsider his time off. |
| Fantasy Impact: Not sure this is the right move by Garrard. He isn't exactly a big-time talent. |
