NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the Carolina Panthers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

Chris Berman (ESPN, 26) - Nothing could be finer than Monday Night Football for Carolina.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 19) - Maybe Cam Newton's feel-good night vs. Eagles will spark him.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 28)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 23) - Win against Eagles may be a little too late for Ron Rivera and what remains off his staff.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 27) - When Cam Newton plays the way he did against the Iggles, he's the most electrifying player in the league.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 27) - Luke Kuechly is a tackling machine with four consecutive 100-plus tackle seasons - the first three at Boston College and this last one for the Panthers. Kuechly skipped his senior season to turn pro.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 27) - If Cam Newton is "Superman" how come these guys are 3-8?

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 24) - Ron Rivera has five more games to save his job.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 29) - The Panthers won a MNF game against the Eagles and demonstrated they can be successful when Cam Newton plays like he did in 2011. They have the talent to finish strong this season and get out of the bottom 10 teams in this ranking.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 25) - That looked like the Cam Newton we all were in awe of during his rookie season. The Panthers have shown improvement. Is it too little too late for Ron Rivera and his staff?

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 24) - A 30-22 victory over Philadelphia was a reminder of just how good Cam Newton can be. Consistency is the next step he must take in his young NFL career.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 29) - Where has the Cam Newton we saw Monday night been all season?
