HONOLULU (AP) - Oakland Raiders linebacker Kaluka Maiava and his brother are charged with assaulting two men at a bar in Hawaii.

Maui Prosecuting Attorney John Kim says the 27-year-old Maiava and his 30-year-old brother, Ilima Maiava, are charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal property damage, a petty misdemeanor.

They're accused of beating up two men during a brawl at Life's a Beach in Kihei on March 17. That would be four days after the Raiders signed Maiava to a three-year, $6 million contract. The Wailuku native played four seasons with the Cleveland Browns after being a fourth-round pick out of Southern California.

Maiava's agent couldn't immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.

The brothers were served with summonses on July 2 when prosecutors learned they would be on the island.
