NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee's Mike Munchak says he knows exactly what Tennessee owner Bud Adams expects from both his coach and his football team this season.

Wins and to be playing in January.

That would mean Munchak in his third season may need to deliver this franchise's first playoff berth since 2008 to keep his job. The Titans missed a berth in Munchak's first season in 2011 on a tiebreaker.

Munchak said Thursday he usually talks to Adams the Friday before the season opens discussing roster cuts, moves and expectations. He says Adams wants the Titans to succeed, win and reach the playoffs after going 6-10 in 2012.

The coach says the players and coaches know what the expectations are for the Titans but that's not something they will talk much about.
