BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden took a pounding in Sunday's opener. He absorbed a few more shots the day after.
Weeden threw three interceptions in Cleveland's 23-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins, who sacked the second-year QB six times, pressured him numerous more and left him bruised from head to toe. Weeden's shaky performance - he underthrew some passes, forced a few and missed open receivers - was reminiscent of his rookie season and had disappointed Browns fans grumbling on Monday that they need a better quarterback for the future.
However, Browns coach Rob Chudzinski said there was plenty of blame to be shared and that he doesn't look at Weeden as being on any ``leash'' this season. Chudzinski lauded Weeden's resiliency and toughness in the face of Miami's relentless pressure.
