INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis selected Ball State defensive end Jonathan Newsome in the fifth round of the NFL draft Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 236-pounder was taken No. 166 overall. He started his career at Ohio State and could move to outside linebacker in the NFL.

It's been a long weekend for Indy, which didn't have a first-round pick Thursday. The Colts waited another 2 1/2 hours Friday before choosing Ohio State offensive lineman Jack Mewhort in the second round. Indy closed Friday by taking Ole Miss receiver Donte Moncrief in the third round, No.90 overall.
