NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Titans backup center Chris Spencer injured his left ankle early in the second quarter and was taken to the locker room on a cart in Tennessee's preseason opener against Green Bay on Saturday.

Spencer had replaced starter Brian Scwhenke when he went down on a running play by Bishop Sankey. The veteran going into his 10th season didn't put his left leg down to the field while being helped to the sideline. After a few minutes, left tackle Michael Roos and Schwenke helped Spencer to a cart, and he was taken to the locker room for further exam.

Team officials said he would not return.
