MPFL DRAFT

9:00pm EST on FRIDAY, JULY 26th

Let us know if you can make it to Canton, OH for the MPFL DRAFT Party that weekend

Commissioner Wed Apr 24 3:25pm ET

Rule change to eliminate veto votes on trades has passed.  8 votes yes, 0 votes no, 4 owners did not cast a vote.

Moving forward agreed upon trades between MPFL owners will become instant.  There will no longer be a 24 hour veto window moving forward.  Jarrod and I fully expect Danny to break the all time record for trades in a season this year.

Commissioner Mon Mar 4 2:48pm ET

Contracted Players have had their salaries adjusted, divisions are updated, and schedule for next year is completed.

Please double check for any errors

Rule Change Proposal:  Elimination of the Veto on trades

Moving forward the veto will be eliminated and all trades will become instant.

  • Trades involving players who have already played in that week can not be traded until the following week.  So if a trade involves a player that plays Thursday night then you will need to agree on that trade prior to the kickoff of that game.
  • If you truly believe there was collusion in a trade, please bring it to the attention of the commissioner with the reasons you believe there was collusion.
    • Collusion is defined as tanking one's own team to directly benefit only 1 team involved in the trade. A situation where a trade can not be rationalized to how it benefits both teams involved.
    • Example:  Last place teams trades the QB1 on the season to a playoff contender for a Kicker
  • The Commissioner can reverse any trade where collusion has taken place.
  • Trade deadline would be 11:59pm Saturday for the NFL week

Let's discuss on the board pros and cons to this rule proposal and then we will vote on it in 2 weeks.

Commissioner Sat Mar 2 10:42am ET

Bringing forth discussion and vote on Brett's rule proposal to eliminate the veto vote on trades.

Here's his post from last season:

"Howdy everyone,

I would like to propose a rule change for vote this offseason related to our trading procedures.

Trading is a huge part of fantasy football - we all love screwing our friends over and working to convince them that our benched trash players are just one game away from being another team's Dynasty treasure.

Today - I would like to begin the conversation to make trading easier for all. I propose to formally remove the 24-hour processing timeframe with all trades, effective the 24-25 MPFL Season.

The processing timeline that we currently abide by is in effect to prevent collusion and cheating among owners. I am proud to say that within the MPFL, I have absolutely zero concern about any collusion or sign-stealing type behavior from my peers.

An instant trade policy allows for a more exciting and dynamic league and avoids the complications with last-minute deals. (Also, can you imagine Danny's team with instant trades? Going to be nuts!)"
