Pttsburgh Steelers WR Mike Williams will make his debut with the team in Week 10's game against the Washington Commanders. He had been acquired in a trade with the New York Jets Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Although it's hard to predict how quickly Williams will learn Pittsburgh's offensive scheme and build chemistry with his teammates, he could become a viable flex option in deeper fantasy leagues over the coming weeks.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Williams is expected to be active against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Less than one week after being traded from the New York Jets, Williams is slated to make his Steelers debut. The veteran filled a depth role in New York but still managed to offer a solid veteran presence, catching 12 passes for 166 yards along the way. He's off the fantasy radar for the moment.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Williams will make his first appearance for the team in a Week 10 showdown with the 7-2 Washington Commanders. Williams was unable to get on the same page as quarterback Aaron Rodgers in New York but will hope to quickly establish chemistry with Russell Wilson. The Steelers have been linked to Williams since the offseason and should be eager to get him on the field to work opposite George Pickens. While the veteran's role in the offense will be worth monitoring, Williams cannot be expected to immediately garner more opportunities than fellow wideouts Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin III. Fantasy managers would be wise to leave Williams on the waiver wire in most redraft formats for the time being.

Nov 5 2:30pm ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers were interested in trading for New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton ahead of the NFL trade deadline, but the organization sent a fifth-round pick to acquire New York Jets wideout Mike Williams instead. According to Jeremy Fowler, the Giants value Slayton and likely had a higher asking price or were not interested in trading him altogether. It appears Slayton could remain with the G-Men despite trade rumors circulating. The 27-year-old has racked up 32 receptions for 469 yards and one touchdown in 2024. Assuming he remains in New York, he'll continue to be a low-end flex play in favorable matchups for WRs. However, Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson have been the clear No. 1 and No. 2 options in Daniel Jones' passing game.

New York Jets WR Mike Williams was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round draft choice on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Fantasy Spin: The Jets have seemingly been dangling Williams on the trade market from the moment they acquired Davante Adams. Even though Allen Lazard will remain on IR for at least three more weeks, New York has enough options with Adams, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall and Tyler Conklin to move the ball through the air. Williams' departure may create more opportunities for Xavier Gipson or Malachi Corley, but it likely will not be enough to warrant a roster spot in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 5 1:40pm ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers are trading for New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams, according to Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team. New York will get a fifth-round pick in return. The Steelers have been active in wide receiver trade talks, as the team lacks depth behind No. 1 wide receiver George Pickens. Meanwhile, the Williams-Jets pairing has not worked out, and Davante Adams took over his role in the offense after being dealt from Las Vegas. Williams, a former first-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017, has hauled in just 12 receptions for 166 yards in nine games this season. He will provide depth for Pittsburgh and could have a few spike weeks with Russell Wilson under center, but it would be a surprise if he becomes a consistent fantasy football producer at this stage in his career.

Nov 5 1:33pm ET

New York Jets WR Mike Williams will reportedly be traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for an undisclosed return on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Pittsburgh likely gave up no more than a conditional late Day 3 pick in return. Despite how things played out in New York, Williams is at worst a capable complementary receiver who can stretch the field and take some of the defensive attention away from George Pickens. It may be too much to ask Williams to be useful in fantasy in Week 10 against the Washington Commanders, but he could emerge as a viable flex option in deeper leagues later this month or early next month.

From TheHuddle

Nov 3 11:20am ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to monitor the trade market for wide receivers in hopes of upgrading their offense, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Pittsburgh tried to trade for Christian Kirk before he suffered a season-ending collarbone injury, and now the Steelers are pivoting to other receivers, including Adam Thielen and Mike Williams. It's unclear if the Steelers will be able to pull off a receiver addition before Tuesday's 4 p.m. trade deadline, but they're certainly working the phones in hopes of making a splash.

Nov 1 3:43am ET

New York Jets WR Mike Williams had one reception (on two targets) for six yards versus the Houston Texans in Week 9.

Fantasy Spin: The injury to Allen Lazard (chest) means Williams is likely to stay with the Jets. Barring an injury to Davante Adams or Garrett Wilson, that's probably the death knell to any hopes that Williams will have fantasy value this season.

From TheHuddle

Oct 26 4:50pm ET

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams could see some more snaps on Sunday versus the Patriots. With Allen Lazard (chest) doubtful, the former Charger may serve as the No. 3 wideout on the depth chart behind Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson. Williams tenure with the Jets hasn't been productive, amassing only 11 catches (19 targets) for 160 yards. There's been talk he'll be traded at some point. But for now, it appears he'll remain a Jet and may get some attention from Aaron Rodgers in Week 8. However, Williams is far from a starting-caliber fantasy option.

Oct 20 8:30am ET

The New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers have decided to pause trade talks surrounding wide receiver Mike Williams and will resume negotiations after the two teams face each other on Sunday night in Week 7, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Williams has become a popular name on the trade market after the Jets acquired Davante Adams. The former Los Angeles Chargers receiver has been quiet in his first season with New York, catching just 10 passes for 145 yards through six games. However, he could have more of a role if traded to a different team, such as the Steelers. Pittsburgh's wide receiver corps is headlined by George Pickens, who has delivered inconsistent production. Williams could certainly join the Steelers and immediately compete with their current No. 2 receiver, Calvin Austin III.

From RotoBaller

Oct 19 9:30pm ET

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, "several teams," specifically the Steelers and Chargers, have inquired about the availability of New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams (personal). The wideout spent his entire career with the Chargers before signing with the Jets this offseason. However, he's struggled in 2024-25, accumulating only 10 catches for 145 yards. With New York recently acquiring Davante Adams in a blockbuster deal, there's a good chance Williams could be moved elsewhere ahead of the trade deadline. If that happens, he may benefit from a change of scenery, so fantasy managers should contemplate holding on to him for now, considering brighter days may be on the horizon.

From RotoBaller

Oct 18 4:13pm ET

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 18, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Williams likely will receive a smaller role in the passing game because of the addition of Davante Adams and probably can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 18 3:53pm ET

New York Jets CB Michael Carter II (back) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 7 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. CB D.J. Reed (groin) also did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. TE Tyler Conklin (hip) and LB Chazz Surratt (heel) practiced in full on Friday, Oct. 18, but are also listed as questionable. QB Aaron Rodgers (ankle), WR Mike Williams (personal), DE Will McDonald (shoulder), OT Morgan Moses (knee), OT Tyron Smith (rest) and WR Davante Adams (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 9:30pm ET

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams (personal) was once again absent during Thursday's practice session. He was back with the organization, but Williams didn't suit up for practice. The assumption is that Williams is sitting out due to impending trade discussions. This comes a few days after quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw Williams under the bus. Williams is off to a slow start with 10 receptions for 145 yards and zero touchdowns through five games. His role on the team is only going to decrease with Davante Adams joining the roster. Williams should draw some interest from around the league ahead of the November 5 trade deadline. Fantasy managers who have Williams rostered should hold him for the moment in case he does still traded to a better situation.

From RotoBaller

Oct 17 4:53pm ET

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (personal) did not practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Fantasy Spin: After the trade for Davante Adams, the Jets are reportedly shopping Williams, so it's likely he has played his last snap in New York. That might actually be good news for Williams, who was doing next to nothing with the Jets over six games. He can be left on waivers.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 4:43pm ET

New York Jets CB Michael Carter II (back), CB D.J. Reed (groin) and WR Mike Williams (personal) did not practice on Thursday, Oct. 17. Also, TE Tyler Conklin (hip), DE Will McDonald (shoulder), OL Morgan Moses (knee) and OL Tyron Smith (rest) were limited and QB Aaron Rodgers (ankle), LB Chazz Surratt (heel) and WR Davante Adams (hamstring) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Oct 17 10:53am ET

New York Jets WR Mike Williams is receiving trade interest from the Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Spin: Williams doesn't have much fantasy value on this team, and his best chance at reviving it is via a transaction. He's still worth keeping as a flex candidate in anticipation of a move.
