2024 RTSports Outlook

Tillman was picked by the Browns in the third round of this year's draft. He is a big receiver that could compete for a starting job sooner than later. He has some talent ahead of him on the depth chart, but is certainly talented himself. He uses his size well to make the contested catch. Tillman also has a big catch radius because of his size. Tillman does lack a little top-end speed and can struggle to separate a little.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Tillman is a hard player to gauge. He could be anywhere from second to fifth on the depth chart. He might be worth a speculative grab late in drafts. For now, look for around 30 receptions for 400 yards and a few scores.

The Athletic's Zac Jackson writes that the Cleveland Browns believe wide receiver Cedric Tillman can make a second-year leap in 2024. Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore figure to start in most three-receiver sets this year, but Tillman should have an opportunity for a bigger role as the No. 4 as the season progresses. The 24-year-old third-round pick last year out of Tennessee caught 21 of his 44 targets for 224 yards and no touchdowns in 14 games (three starts) in 2023 in his rookie season. Behind Tillman, David Bell, rookie Jamari Thrash, James Proche II, Jaelon Darden and Michael Woods II will have to battle for playing time in training camp this summer. Tillman won't be worth drafting in standard-sized leagues this fall, but he could become intriguing as a waiver-wire pickup if one of the three starters goes down with injury at any point.

Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) has officially been ruled out for Saturday's wild-card contest against the Houston Texans. Tillman suffered a concussion in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals and now will have to sit out for his first career playoff game. With Tillman out and Amari Cooper (heel) expected to return after missing the final two regular season games, Cooper, Elijah Moore and David Bell should operate as Cleveland's top three wideouts against Houston this weekend. The 23-year-old Tillman was seeing more involvement for the Browns down the stretch, but he still finished his first year in the NFL with only 21 catches for 224 yards and no touchdowns on 44 targets over 14 games.

Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) was unable to practice with the team on Wednesday. Tillman suffered a concussion in the Week 18 game against the Cincinnati Bengals and is in danger of missing the first postseason game of his career this Saturday against the Houston Texans. Thankfully for the Browns, Amari Cooper (heel), who missed the last two games of the regular season, said he will return for wild-card weekend. If Tillman isn't given the green light to play Saturday, David Bell should serve as Cleveland's No. 3 wideout behind Cooper and Elijah Moore. The 23-year-old Tillman had a very limited pass-catching role in his first season in the NFL, going for 21 catches on 44 targets for only 224 yards without finding the end zone a single time.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol and is not practicing on Tuesday, according to Jake Trotter of ESPN. The rookie apparently suffered the injury during the Week 18 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and he could be in jeopardy of missing the Wild Card bout against the Houston Texans. The third-round pick from Tennessee has hauled in 21 of his 44 targets for 224 yards in 14 games this season. However, his role only started to expand mid-season after Donovan Peoples-Jones was traded to the Detroit Lions. He has played no fewer than 61% of the team's snaps since Week 9, so his absence could propel David Bell and Marquise Goodwin into expanded roles. Amari Cooper (heel/rest) also isn't practicing on Tuesday, but there's no indication that he won't play.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman has caught 18 passes for 181 yards in his rookie season. Tillman could be in store for a larger role in Week 18's matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns have already locked up the No. 5 seed in the AFC and are planning to rest several key players in the regular-season finale. Amari Cooper (heel) has already been ruled out and Elijah Moore (concussion) is listed as questionable. It would be a bit of a surprise to see Cleveland rush Moore back into action after he suffered a concussion back in Week 17's Thursday night game. Tillman should conceivably operate as Cleveland's No. 1 wideout against a Cincy defense that is allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position this season. Assuming Moore doesn't play, Tillman sets up as an interesting dart throw in DFS tournaments on Sunday and can be used as a desperation flex in season-long formats.

Dynasty | Browns rookie receiver Cedric Tillman produced 55 yards on 4-of-5 receiving in week 12 Dynasty Analysis: Tillman was a direct beneficiary of the trade sending Donovan Peoples-Jones to Detroit and his week-12 production was a career high. The rookie with good size (6'3/215) should continue to receive snaps and is an odds-on favorite to be a starter in 2024. Found as DLF's WR71, Cedric Tillman makes for an ideal deep-roster stash for dynasty coaches looking for value-on future upside.

Nov 26 9:30pm ET

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman caught four of his five targets for 55 yards in a 29-12 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 12. Tillman finished second on the team in receiving yards while easily setting a career-high in receiving in the process. The rookie could be in store for an even larger role in Week 13 as Amari Cooper left during the second half with a rib injury and his status could be in danger for his team's upcoming contest against the Los Angeles Rams. If Cooper is unable to play, Tillman would slide into a starting role opposite Elijah Moore. He becomes an interesting waiver option in deeper leagues this week.
