2024 RTSports Outlook

Tannehill had injury issues last year, limiting him to 12 games. He didn't produce quite as well for the Titans when on the field, though. He had just five games with 20-plus fantasy points. Tannehill had 15 total scores in 12 games. He averaged 211.3-passing yards per game, which was his lowest total in four seasons with the Titans. Tennessee had injury issues at receiver, which didn't help matters for Tannehill. He really missed having A.J. Brown as his No. 1 target in the passing game. Tannehill has a solid track record as the starter for the Titans and should continue to fill that role. And if the team keeps adding weapons for him at receiver, his passing numbers can improve. The Titans do have a more run-heavy approach offensively, but Tannehill gets his weekly chances to air it out. Tannehill is a big quarterback with a strong arm that moves around the pocket well and will make plays with his feet. He is an accurate quarterback and has improved reading defenses. Tannehill rarely turns the ball over and will take some chances down the field.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Tannehill is not an elite quarterback but can be a good spot starter. He will have some big games and is setup to rebound with a healthier lineup around him this year. His yardage numbers hold him back a little but he will get his scores and gain some yards on the ground. Look for around 3,700 yards, 30 total touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Tennessee Titans impending free-agent QB Ryan Tannehill may receive interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers if he tests the free-agent market, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Spin: Tannehill has played under offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and probably would compete with Kenny Pickett if he joins the Steelers. None of the Steelers quarterbacks should be more than a low-end No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

From TheHuddle

Jan 31 12:50pm ET

ESPN's Brooke Pryor suggests that the Pittsburgh Steelers could opt to bring in Tennessee Titans impending free-agent quarterback Ryan Tannehill as a short-term fix at the position if they want to give Kenny Pickett more time to develop in 2024. It makes some sense given Tannehill's success in offensive coordinator Arthur Smith's system in Tennessee -- Tannehill earned his lone Pro Bowl nod in 2019 with Smith running the offense. However, Tannehill is now 35 years old and wouldn't have the type of aerial weapons that he did when he had a career-best season in Tennessee. Pittsburgh has also expressed interest in re-signing Mason Rudolph, who was more efficient after taking over for Pickett while leading the team to a playoff berth.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill went 17-for-26 for 168 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 18.

From TheHuddle

Jan 7 4:30pm ET

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed 17 of his 26 passes for 168 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Week 18 upset win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was likely Tannehill's final game with the organization, and he did enough to knock the Jaguars out of the playoffs. The 35-year-old is unlikely to land a starting job in the offseason, but he could serve as a bridge quarterback or draw a start or two next season due to injuries. There's a low chance he's on the fantasy radar in single-QB formats next year, but deep Superflex league fantasy managers should monitor his landing spot in free agency.

From RotoBaller

Jan 5 2:23pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will start ahead of the injured Will Levis (foot) in Week 18 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Spin: Tannehill will likely be playing his final game as a member of the Titans. It has not been a good year for the 35-year-old, who was benched less than midway through the season after posting a 1:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He hasn't thrown a TD pass since Week 4. Levis' absence should be considered a mild upgrade for the Jaguars DST in Week 18.

From TheHuddle

Jan 5 2:20pm ET

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill will make the start in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars instead of rookie Will Levis, who injured his foot in the Week 17 loss to the Houston Texans. With the Titans already eliminated from the postseason, they've elected to give the 35-year-old Tannehill one final start in what is expected to be his final game with the organization. He'll have a lot of incentive to play well in front of the home faithful as the Titans look to spoil the Jaguars' playoff hopes. Tannehill also started in Week 16 with Levis sidelined, and he's gone 34-for-46 for 320 yards, no touchdowns or interceptions in the last two weeks. He'll be playing with a lot of emotions this weekend but won't be a recommended DFS sleeper at the QB position.

From RotoBaller

Jan 2 9:13pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will start in Week 18 if QB Will Levis (foot) isn't able to play, head coach Mike Vrabel said on Tuesday, Jan. 2. Vrabel added that Levis' foot has improved since Sunday but his status remains up in the air.

From TheHuddle

Jan 2 2:10pm ET

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill could be in line to start in the team's season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Rookie quarterback Will Levis (foot) suffered a foot injury in the Week 17 loss to the Houston Texans and did not return after exiting. Tannehill went on to complete 16 of his 20 passing attempts for 186 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. If Levis can't play on Sunday, Tannehill will draw the start in what is likely to be his last game with the organization. The 35-year-old had a great run with Tennessee, but his contract is up after this season, and he's no longer viewed as the franchise quarterback. Tannehill remains off the fantasy or DFS radar this week after throwing just two touchdowns in eight appearances this season.

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill 16-for-20 for 168 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Houston Texans in Week 17.

From TheHuddle

Dec 31 4:20pm ET

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed 16 of his 20 passing attempts for 168 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions in the Week 17 blowout loss to the Houston Texans. Tannehill came in for an injured Will Levis (foot), who was dealing with a high-ankle sprain heading into Sunday. There's a good chance Levis will be held out of Week 18 as a precaution, meaning Tannehill would start against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Next week could be Tannehill's final game as a Titan. Neither Tennessee quarterback belongs on the fantasy radar.

From RotoBaller

Dec 24 8:20pm ET

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed 18 of his 26 passing attempts for 152 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions in the Week 16 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The veteran has just two passing touchdowns in eight games this year, so he remains off the fantasy radar if he draws another start next week. Will Levis (ankle) is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, so who will start against Houston in Week 17 is to be determined.

From RotoBaller

Dec 24 5:03pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill completed 18-of-26 passes for 152 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks, while posting 37 rushing yards on two attempts.

From TheHuddle

Dec 24 10:13am ET

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will start Week 16's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Spin: Tannehill is receiving the starting nod this afternoon because QB Will Levis is dealing with a high-ankle sprain and was only able to practice once on a limited basis during the week. At best, Tannehill is a desperation play for fantasy owners who won't get much help playing behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL.

From TheHuddle

Dec 24 8:30am ET

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill will draw the start in Week 16 versus the Seattle Seahawks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This comes in the wake of an injury to Will Levis (ankle), who practiced on Friday but is expected to be inactive this week. Tannehill, of course, started the Titans' first six games of the season before a combination of injury and poor performance led to his benching during the bye week. He had struggled drastically as the starter, completing just 62 percent of his passes for 1,128 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect anything special from him during Sunday's spot start. He remains off the fantasy radar while top pass-catcher DeAndre Hopkins falls to the low-end WR2 range.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 3:30pm ET

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that quarterback Ryan Tannehill will be the team's starting QB on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks if rookie Will Levis (ankle) is not available. Levis suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 15's overtime loss to the Houston Texans and is now firmly in danger of sitting out this weekend. For what it's worth, Levis was unable to practice on Wednesday, allowing Tannehill to take first-team snaps. The 35-year-old dealt with a high-ankle sprain of his own earlier this year and missed three games, allowing Levis to take over the starting role in his first NFL season. Tannehill looked washed up in six starts earlier this year before getting hurt, going 98-for-158 for 1,128 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions. He'll be a low-upside, low-end QB2 in superflex leagues if he makes the start against Seattle.

From RotoBaller

Dec 20 1:23pm ET

Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) will not practice on Wednesday, Dec. 20, and QB Ryan Tannehill will take the first-team reps in his place, head coach Mike Vrabel said on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Fantasy Spin: Levis is expected to miss at least one game with his high-ankle sprain. Tannehill looks on track to start, which is good news for Titans pass-catchers, as he's a better option than second-year signal-caller Malik Willis. However, Tannehill is a desperation play, at best.
