New England Patriots RB Ty Montgomery was waived Friday, Dec. 8.

The New England Patriots waived running back/wide receiver Ty Montgomery on Friday, a day after their Thursday night upset win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. In Week 14, Montgomery was only on the field for a total of six offensive snaps and caught one pass for 17 yards on two targets in the 21-18 win. The 30-year-old veteran had a mere three rushing attempts for nine yards and five catches on 12 targets for 40 yards in his 13 games with the Patriots this year. Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) is expected to miss some more time with a high-ankle sprain, leaving Ezekiel Elliott as their lead back moving forward. He'll be backed up by JaMycal Hasty and Kevin Harris with Montgomery now out of the picture in New England.

New England Patriots WR Demario Douglas (concussion) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers. WR Kayshon Boutte (shoulder, illness) did not practice for a second straight day on Friday, Dec. 1, and has also been ruled out. LB Chris Board (back), OT Trent Brown (ankle, chest), RB Ezekiel Elliott (thigh), OT Riley Reiff (knee), OG Sidy Sow (ankle) and DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (shoulder) were limited in practice on Friday and are listed as questionable. C David Andrews (foot), LB Ja'Whaun Bentley (hamstring) and WR Matthew Slater (ankle) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report. WR Ty Montgomery (illness) was not given a practice designation on Friday but is expected to be available.
