2024 RTSports Outlook

Washington barely saw the field early in the year his rookie season, but started to get some work late in the year and produced decent numbers. He had 16 receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns the last six games. He had one game with double-digit fantasy points. Washington is likely fourth or fifth on the depth chart for the Jaguars this season. Washington knows how to get open and catches the ball well. He lacks a little speed, though, and is not much of a deep threat.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Washington has a lot of good options ahead of him on the depth chart, so the chances of him doing much this year seem slim. He might get 20 or so receptions for 200 yards and a score or two.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington is battling for a roster spot after the team brought in Brian Thomas Jr. Gabe Davis, and Devin Duvernay this offseason. Along with Christian Kirk, those three players are locks to make the final 53-man roster. Jacksonville began organized team activities on Monday, and Washington was a standout performer, according to John Shipley on the Jaguar Report. "Washington made several impressive grabs throughout the day in both individual and team drills, and he also showed off the quickness and explosiveness that makes his game stand out," Shipley wrote. "After (Christian) Kirk, he was probably the best overall performer in the receiver room on Monday." The 2023 sixth-round pick posted 16 receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie campaign, and his special teams ability could help his chances to secure his spot on the active roster. Although he won't begin the 2024 season on the fantasy radar, he could be worth stashing in extra-deep formats.

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Parker Washington finished his first season in the NFL on Sunday with just one catch for an 11-yard gain in the 28-20 upset loss to the Tennessee Titans in the Week 18 regular season finale. In nine total games, the sixth-rounder from Penn State caught just 16 passes on 21 targets for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Washington played just once in the first 10 weeks of the season. He caught eight passes on nine targets for 88 yards and two touchdowns right after Christian Kirk suffered a core muscle injury that landed him on Injured Reserve. It looked like the 21-year-old would have a bigger role down the stretch, but he ended up with only eight catches on 14 targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the final four contests. He should return as extra receiver depth for the Jags in 2024.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16. When Christian Kirk left the Week 13 game against Cincy, the rookie Washington was forced to occupy the slot receiver role and he has done an admirable job, with 100 yards and two touchdowns over two games. Washington also ranks top-20 in the league with 15 targets since that game, demonstrating a good rapport with quarterback Trevor Lawrence. If Zay Jones is able to play, Washington actually makes for a decent 2nd flex option in 12-team leagues given how poor the Tampa Bay secondary has played all year. With Jones in the lineup, the Penn State product projects more as a WR4/5 or deep-league flex given that he is still the fourth option in the passing attack, and it is still unknown if Lawrence will be out there.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington faces the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 15 primetime matchup. The rookie wideout has taken up the starting slot receiver position in the absence of Christian Kirk, scoring in back to back weeks. However, Washington only received three targets last week when quarterback Trevor Lawrence reached a season-high in passing attempts which doesn't give fantasy managers much confidence in starting the Penn State product. To make matters worse, the Ravens have been above average in defending slot WRs this tear, ranking 13th in points allowed to that spot. Consider Washington only a deep-league flex play at best in Week 15.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington secured two passes on three targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in a four-point loss to the Cleveland Browns. The rookie filled in admirably for star wideout Christian Kirk yet again, hauling in another touchdown, which gives him a score in his first two career games operating as a receiver. The three-headed monster of Engram, Ridley, and Jones accounted for 80% of quarterback Trevor Lawrence's targets, but Washington was able to take advantage of his minimal looks with a beautiful back-shoulder touchdown grab in the fourth quarter. The sixth-round pick from Penn State will look to continue the hot start to his career next week against Baltimore.
