Auction Salary Cap - Each team is given a fixed (fictional)amount of $200 to fill all roster slots (including bench)
Preseason IR Rule:
-Any player put on season ending IR prior to the first game of the season can be cut and the player's auction salary can be added to the owner's FAAB budget(waiver wire) for the season.
Auction League:
In an auction draft, teams take turns nominating players. When a player is nominated, teams can place bids to win this specific player. The team with the highest bid wins the player and the amount of points that that specific player was won for is deducted from that team's budget. If you did place a bid for that player, but did not win that player, all of your points will be returned to your budget. Make sure to be smart with your bidding!
NOMINATING PLAYERS
In order to start the bidding for a player, that player must first be nominated. The nomination order determines when it is your turn to initiate the bidding on a player. The nomination order is determined 10 minutes before the draft begins.
PLACING YOUR BID
Once a player has been nominated, teams can then begin to place their bids on that player. The highest bid wins the player and the amount that was bid is deducted from the winning teams total budget. Note that each team has a bid maximum. In other words, a team's highest bid for one player is determined by taking their remaining budget and subtracting the number of empty slots you have on your roster. For example, if Arian Foster is up for bid and your budget is 200 and you have ten empty slots on your roster, the highest bid you can make for Foster is 190. Always keep that in mind when placing your bids!
Roster Size: 16
You can fill your roster throughout the draft as you see fit however you must submit a starting roster each week containing the following: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 Flex, 1 TE
Schedule: Week 1-14. Playoffs start in Week 15 and last for 3 Weeks.
Playoff format:
1 Division. The two teams with the best record will receive byes(Head to Head/Points will be tiebreaker). The top 5 wildcard teams will fill out the 6-playoff spots. Wildcard teams are as follows: the 3 teams with the best record(points tiebreaker) and the one team with the most points scored of the remaining 8 teams.
In the first and second rounds the top seeded teams have the option to choose their playoff opponent. In the first round, the #3 seeded team gets to choose his opponent from the bottom three playoff qualifiers. The process is repeated in the second round with the #1 seeded team having the choice of opponent from the two winning teams of round 1.
Single game tiebreakers: No single game tiebreakers. A tie is a tie!!!! (we use decimal scoring so Ties RARELY happen)
In the event of a tie in a playoff game, the higher seeded team will automatically advance.
Chaps AFFL Playoffs:
1st & 2nd seeds
The two teams who own the best overall record. Tiebreakers are H2H and than points scored.
3rd, 4th, & 5th seed
Next two best teams with overall record with points scored as the tiebreaker.
6th seed
Total points scored will determine the final playoff spot for the playoffs regardless of record
