The league buy in is $200 a year. 2023 benchmarks.

  • Aug 1- Season begins. $200 Team Payment due in FULL. NOTE: Team paid in FULL, trading is OPEN.
  • Aug 27- 5pm CST…..Rosters are cut down to 10 player.
  • Aug 30- 8pm CST Draft Day. Immediately after Draft, Taxi squad designation.
  • Sept 1- FAAB ($200) Opens. Claim Deadline is 5pm CST. 9pm Free-for-all
  • September 7- NFL Kick Off
  • Nov 30- After kick off (715pm CST) Trade Deadline. No trades after kick off of Thurs night game
  • Dec 14- PLAYOFFS Begin
  • Jan 7- After kick off (1200pm CST) of last game on schedule, no more roster additions. Free agency has ended
  • Jan 9th 2023- Payouts for 2023 season. Credit given for 2024 season -or- payout prize money

Rosters

  • MAX players at a given positions 10 for ALL positions QBs, RB, WR, TEs, Ks and DEF.
  • IR- 3 Spots New 2020 to deal with NFL Covid-19 designation OUT for 3 weeks. 
  • Taxi squad- 1 spot, Rookies ONLY. New 2021
    TheTaxi squad is very similar to FBL  "NA" player designation. Teams are allowed to designate a Rookie to the Taxi Squad that is not on 20 man roster that can be  "called up" to the show. Once on Taxi squad, you can ONLY move him onto your active roster BUT cannot move from active roster to Taxi squad (Post draft preseason ONLY). During the season, teams
    can move a Rookie from Taxi Squad to 20 man roster (before playoffs ONLY).
    • In season, use tool bar Taxi Squad ADD/DROP or tell Commish which player to move to taxi squad opening up spot on roster for Waiver Wire pick up to team. 
    • Playoffs- added to ACTIVE roster or stays on Taxi squad.
    • Post Season- player to be added to 20 man roster or dropped. 
  • Upon the conclusion of the season (Jan 9 2024), all teams MUST be at 20. Taxi squad and IR players are added to 20 man roster or dropped. All teams enter the off season with 20 players. Rosters are cut down to 10 by Keeper Deadline posted on msg board.

Waiver wire/Free Agency

Waiver wire starts after Draft, Thurs Sept 1st before week 1. "Blind bidding against a free-agent acquisition budget (FAAB)" $200 Budget.

Definition- The Waiver Order is continuously updated in the following manner. Teams that make a waiver wire selection and receive a claim will move to the bottom of the priority queue. Teams that do not make waiver claims will move to the top of the waiver queue. The final queue order becomes the starting order for the next waiver wire period. The Commissioner manually sets the initial start of the season order in accordance with league by-laws via the Commissioner → Waiver Order page. Commissioner may intervene at anytime during the season to manually adjust the starting order for the next waiver wire period.

Waiver wire runs on Wednesday's. Claims will be awarded after 500pm CST. After waiver completes, Free-for-all OPENS up @ 900pm Wednesday night. At that point it is a free-for-all on picking up players. (NOTE: Covid had make up games on Tuesday's. which forced us to Wednesday's. 2022, No COVID. Back to Tues nights, this could chg if the Biden Flu pops back up and fucks up the NFL schedule.

Dropped players are not available until the following week (waiver wire).

NOTE: Free Agency will run the entire season. (NEW 2022) Last Waiver wire will be week 17. Upon the completion of week 17, there are no more pick ups from free agent pool.

Trades

Team owners may freely trade, no approvals required. You can trade future draft picks up to 1 season ahead. For example, you can trade a future draft pick from current season and/or 1 season ahead but no further. NO trading to hook your buddy up. Weekly trade deadline is 11am CST on Saturday's. Drop dead Trading deadline is (Week 13) see msg board for yearly date. Trade season opens up following season starting Aug 1 when team fee is paid in FULL. It pays to be a member.

  • Commish can VETO a trade at anytime with lopsided or deliberate "hook-up' trades.

Roster Management

If you deliberately throw the end of your season for a better draft pick by doing stupid shit (like not setting lineups, not logging on, starting guys on the IR, etc...) then you will lose your draft pick at the Commissioners discretion.  The Commissioner has the right to set your lineup for you if you are found throwing games! For example, starting a player who is on a BYE week or is injured when there is another player at that position who can start. Starting player will be picked by players at POS that is League Starting, Highest starting by %. Don't have a player healthy, I will pick one up for you. Bottom line is to stay active.

  • Walker rule. Taxi Squad members must be moved to active roster when the following condition occurs. Player outscores starter(s) after 3 weeks. If RB/WR1 scores more points but RB/WR2 are out scored by Rookie, player is moved to active roster. For example. In 2022 Kenneth Walker scored 206 points sitting on the Taxi squad outscoring all RBs on teams roster. This comes into play as the MER score (optimal line up) determines Draft placement and the difference between the #1 and #2 pick was 275.42 points
  • Tanking. History has it mid season (week 5 and beyond), a teams fate is determined for an array of reasons. Bad trades, injuries, herpes outbreak on team etc; Team is destined to finish with a bad record. The race for the #1 pick starts. Commish has watched teams pick up the worst possible FA player(s) to fill a BYE week player and furnish a bare MIN line up with a player that isn't on the BYE. K and DEF that are ranked LAST of playing in worst conditions have been found to be in starting line ups. The down fall is that the team is playing teams in playoff contention and effect seeding. Moving fwd, ANY TEAM can call out a team for their line up decisions. Commish will make chgs to line up and Team is on probation for ever. Next occurrence, team is replaced. Roster will be manged by Commish. No trades can be made with team until new owner is found. Money will be refunded and Prize money will be adjusted according minus $200. See below.

Runs ALL season long. Pick a team ONCE thru-out the season. If team wins, you advance to next week. If your teams loses you are out. Winners each week must submit team BEFORE game time starts. If 1st round of games start on Sunday, you can pick a team from the afternoon games. If still have not picked a game, then Sunday Night games. Still not submitted, Monday night game is last chance to pick a team. NOTE: If BOTH teams lose, 2 teams continue to play until there is a winner. Same format, cannot use teams previously picked. If at the end of 18 weeks tied, a tie-breaker of TOTAL points in the games played (week 18) will/should produce a winner. Closest to the number takes home the prize. If tied, teams split pot. 

Keeper's

10 players (any position can be kept).

Deadline to declare keepers is Monday before Draft. See msg board for date designation. 

If you drop a player and want him back on your roster BEFORE keeper deadline, send MSG to Commish. I will get player back on your roster.

Draft Notes

Draft order will be determined just like the NFL.

• If there is an expansion team, they select first. If there is more than one expansion team, a coin flip determines who picks first.

• If there are no expansion teams, the team with the lowest winning percentage at the end of the previous season drafts first in the NFL Draft

Draft order will be determined at the end of the REG season. (Worst to First)

  • Teams that didn’t qualify for the playoffs are assigned draft slots 1-6. The order is determined by season long MER rating Optimal line up. This is season long and team with the least amount of points for season is #1 and so on. Teams are assigned 1-6.
    The four teams eliminated in the quarter Final round pick in slots 7-9 in the reverse order of their final regular season records. Winner goes 11th. 
  • The two teams that lost in the semi Finals play for 3rd place. Winner picks 12th, Loser goes 10th pick in  spots in the reverse order of their final regular season records.
  • The team that lost the championship has the 13th pick in the draft.
  • The champion has the 14th and final spot in each round.

NFL Style draft. 

  • Straight style - NFL draft (1-N, 1-N, 1-N, 1-N etc.) started in 2018 draft
  • 10 rounds.
  • Each owner has 4 minute (1st round), 2 min (2-6 rds) and 1 min (7-10 rds) to make a selection.
  • If skipped, owners must wait until next successful pick to fill selection.

 

Division Alignment

 2 divisions realigned each season. 

  • based upon last season record and playoff performance. Ranked 1-14, ODDS and EVENS into each division

 

Championship bracket Teams (Championship bracket, teams that finish 1-8)

• Teams who were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, placed in order from lowest winning percentage to the highest (based on regular-season record), followed by those eliminated in the second round, again placed in order from lowest winning percentage to highest.

• After the above teams are placed, the losers of the conference championship games take the next two spots with the team with the lowest winning percentage during the regular season placed ahead of the other.

Consultation bracket Teams (4 teams that lost in round 1 of playoffs)

• teams that lost in round 1 are re-ranked, highest playing lowest seed for opening round; etc. Winners advance to play for $100.

"Tie Breakers" for standings are:

  • Head-to-Head Record - Break ties using head-to-head record. If multiple teams are tied, use winning percentage against all tied teams.
  • Points Scored Head-to-Head - Break ties using using points scored in fantasy games against all tied teams.
  • Total Points Scored in Games - Break ties using points scored in all fantasy games played. Only updates when fantasy games are final. This is the same as the "PF" - "Points For" column in the standings.

Playoffs

  • Championship bracket. Top 4 in each division make playoffs.
  • Playoffs stay within Division. 1vs4, 2vs3. Winner of each division plays for Championship. Same tie breakers apply.
  • Consultation bracket- 4 teams that lost in Winners Bracket Rd 1 games.

Covid 19 for Playoffs 2020 started. 2021 adjusted. 2022 not an issue as of Week 1.

To deal with the Covid issue, we are allowing current playoff teams (both brackets) that have Covid-19 players to be replaced with Free Agents that are at the same POS. ie; K for a K, WR for WR.

  • Move player to IR. Menu bar Team --> I/R Players.
  • For transparency purposes, post on MSG board you have player XX on Covid list.
  • What ever FAAB money you have, no reload for playoffs. Waiver wire to run on Tues @ 530pm to pick up players POS for POS only if you get Players with Covid designation.
  • You will bidding on player with No Drop since you have an open roster spot.
  • If later in the week, post on MSG board and pick up (free-for-all) player accordingly
  • These players are rentals. Once your Covid IR player is done with Covid designation, they go back into FA pool. Team(s) cannot keep player next season.

Rules modifications/changes

At the end of each season, teams have the ability to suggest rules changes to the league and is voted on. In order to chg existing rules, a majority (8 teams) team vote is needed for change.

  • Teams have the ability to create polls on ideas if they feel fit to.
  • Polls will be created on changes which teams must vote on.

  • MER tracking of teams will determine TRUE worst teams that didn't make the playoffs
  • Top 4 teams in each division make playoffs. Playoffs stay within Division. 1vs4, 2vs3. Winner of each division plays for Championship
  • Free agency runs thru the entire season.
  • FAAB money runs all 17 weeks. No reload of $$ for playoffs.
  • PreCovid date. Waiver wire runs on Tues @ 530pm CST. Free-for-all starts @ 930pm CST
