a tie between 2 or more teams the
tiebreaker will be total points. The 6th playoff spot (wild card) will be awarded to the team with the highest total
points (regardless of win-loss record) of
the remaining 7 teams. The top 2 seeded teams will receive 1st round byes.

KEEPER ELIGIBLE PLAYERS (new rule for 2010 season):
Teams are allowed to protect 1 player from prior year season. The following is eligibility criteria:
1. Player must be drafted outside of the top 60 players.
2. Player protected in current season are ineligible to be protected following season.
3. Player must be drafted and remain on team roster the entire season including playoffs (see trade exemption).
4. Teams are allowed to trade keeper eligible players along with 'keeper rights' to other teams. To maintain keeper
eligibility new team must have player on
roster through the end of the season including playoffs.
5. If at any point during the season (including playoffs) a keeper eligible player is "dropped" from a team, that
player is no longer eligible to be kept.
STARTING LINEUPS
Teams are responsible for setting complete starting lineups. Incomplete starting lineups are strongly discouraged.
Acceptable scenarios where a complete starting lineup would be allowed is due to 1) significant bye week issues and not
wanting to release a player on bye, 2) benching a player to not risk a negative score (to preserve a win)). In the
event a manager is not starting a full team, the commissioner may start a player from the team's bench to help preserve
competitive league.
TIEBREAKER PLAYERS (FOR PLAYOFFS ONLY)
For playoff and championship games only teams are allowed to select players from their starting lineup to serve as tiebreakers. If no players are selected the default tiebreaker will be QB and then in the event the game is still tied the next player on the roster (beneath QB as the roster is viewed on screen) will be used, and so on until the game is settled. Any tiebreaker player selected must be before the players games, or in the event a Team's QB is playing on Thursday the tiebreakers must be set ahead of that QB's game or else the QB will be the tiebreaker.
TIEBREAKER PLAYER (FOR CHAMPIONSHIP GAME)
The tiebreaker player for the championship game will be the WEEK 17 score only. NOT a combined week 16 + 17.
2020 LEAGUE RULE UPDATE: The following league changes are directly related to the Pandemic.
1. Team roster size has been increased by 2 players for the 2020 season. This is to help teams manage increased IR'd players due to COVID. The change to roster size is expected to last for 1 season, but will be reviewed prior to the 2021 season.
2. League contingency planning in the event the NFL cancels during the 2020 season:
Scenario A: If the NFL Plays a full season which allows the FFL to play a full season (including playoffs). For this situation we will follow our standard league rules. The fees, prize pay outs, and keeper rules will not change.
Scenario B: If the NFL cancels the season prior to 8 weeks. If this happens, then the FFL season will be cancelled and all teams will receive a refund of league fees. There will be NO prize pay outs. For keepers, no 2020 players drafted will be allowed to be kept in 2021. However, 2019 keepers eligible for this season will roll forward to 2021.
Scenario C: If the NFL cancels the season 8 or more weeks into the season, but prior to allowing a full FFL season (including playoffs).
League Fees: will remain unchanged (no refunds)
Keepers: will not be allowed for the 2021 season (basically we'd be hitting the reset button on keepers)
Prize payouts: Prizes will be paid out to the Top 3 places based only on TOTAL POINTS (record won't matter). All accumulated high week winners will be paid out including the highest weekly prize winner.
Here's an example of what the prize payout would look like under scenario C
1st place (highest points) = 1000
2nd & 3rd Place (next highest points) = 75%-25% prize split after all high weeks have been awarded.
