League BYLAWS:
1) Owners/Team Rosters
a) The league consists of 10 teams.
b) The league is divided into two divisions. Each division champion will get an automatic BYE into the playoffs after 14 weeks of play.
c) Each team plays another team on their schedule one time each week. After week #9, then some teams will be playing some other teams for the 2nd time. If we have a tiebreaker rule of any kind, it's going to
1) Payments
a) League payment is $50 per year. All fees must be paid by August 1st each year so we can ensure everyone is paid prior to the draft.
b) League payouts. Total pool is $500 from income. $250 to 1st place. $100 to 2nd place. $50 to the Semi-Final losers. $25 to 1st round playoffs losers.
2) Playoffs
a) 6 teams make the playoffs. The top seed from each division will get a BYE in the first round and the following best 4 records will play each other. #3 Seed plays #6. #4 Seed plays #5. After the first round, the top seeds will play the lowest record. (You may need to reshuffle the playoff order if the #6 beats #3 because then #1 plays #6 and #2 plays #4.) Otherwise, #1 should play #4 and #2 should play #3 in theory.
b) The playoffs begin in week #15 of the NFL season. Week #15 is the Wild Card weekend. #16 is the Semi-Finals and Week #17 is the Super Bowl.
c) The league could consider a Pro Bowl in week #18. That means each team would throw in $5 and the top point getter would win $50. (This is not a rule until voted on by the league)
3) Free Agency/Trading
a) Free agency begins after the draft and goes until Week #15 when the playoffs begin. (The first game of that week ends free agency)
b) Trades can involve draft picks 5 years out. Trades are not reviewed and approved by the league. As soon as the trade is approved by both teams, it will be posted and the players can start immediately. Trades start after the draft and go until Week #15 (same timeline as free agency), but as soon as the season is completed, teams can continue to trade all offseason up until the draft and throughout the draft if they wish.)
4) Drafting
a) The draft has a window of 2 minutes per pick. Once we get past the initial draft, we will increase the window to 10 minutes per pick to allow teams to trade in the moment. If the timer ever runs out in the draft, your pick will be autopicked using the list of available free agents in the pool. Only the commissioner can decide whether to stop the draft to allow teams to finalize a trade if people are communicating in advance of the time running out.
b) Teams can set up a list of players in their QUE and click ON for INSTANT AUTO DRAFT or just pick 1 or 2 picks at a time by clicking on INSTANT 1 pick or INSTANT 2 picks. Please use this option if you cannot attend the draft or if you have to leave the draft at some point so the draft continues to move along.
c) After the initial draft, this league is a DYNASTY league which means you draft and have to drop a player as you draft each year to keep your team at 20 players. If you trade players away for picks or drop players which are no longer wanted, you may enter the draft with less than 20 players. This means you don't have to drop until you reach 20 players, but you can never go above 20.
