League
Website:
The Gridiron Gurus Fantasy Football League will be ran online at www.rtsports.com" The cost of the league will be $100.00. It is the responsibility of each owner to specify their starting lineups at the website each week. To take advantage of live scoring, updated results, and league standings automation, all owners must submit their lineups by the deadline each week. Each owner will also place all free agent bids online.
In the event of highly unusual circumstances, your lineup may be called in to Brad or Scott before kickoff. Keep in mind that you will not be able to take advantage of live scoring and no one else in the league will know who you started. As a courtesy to the person you are playing that week, also let them know your lineup. For these reasons, as well as, the inconvenience factor, it is preferred that owners always submit their lineups and bids online.
In the event that you do not start a full lineup during any given week a $5.00 fee will be assessed to your team. (For example, if you start a player that is on a bye week or has been placed on injured reserve) This does not apply to a player being injured during pregame warm-up or a player that is a game time decision and is unable to play)
Free Agency Rules:
On a weekly basis, owners may claim any free agent. There is a minimum free agent pickup fee of $2.50 per player. The deadline for picking up players is 11:59pm Wednesday night every week and will be done on the league's website. The method for claiming free agents will be through a blind bidding process. Owners will submit the full name and position of the player and bid price. This information is submitted blindly, the site will not allow it to be viewed, not even by the Commish. At the deadline, all bids and related info will be revealed. If you are the only one that bid on a particular player, your fee will only be $2.50, regardless of what you bid.
* After the deadline has passed you may pick up any player for a $5 fee.
** It is important to remember that all positional minimums must be maintained, if they are not, a successful bid will not be rewarded. **
Trading Players:
During the season, owners may trade players anytime until kickoff of the first game in Week 10. There will be a $2.50 fee for each team involved in a trade, regardless of the number of players involved. Again, roster minimums must be maintained. All trades must be called into Brad, if for some reason you cannot get in touch with Brad, call Scott. In the event of a trade that is made is deemed as unfair by any owner, a committee of Scott, Shade, and Brad will make the final decision.
League Structure:
The league will consist of 10 teams with two divisions. The regular season will consist of 15 Weeks. A total of four teams will make the playoffs. The playoffs will be made up of each division champion, the team with the next best record (regardless of which division), and the team with the highest points (regardless of which division).
** For any playoff spot, in the event of a tie, the following tiebreakers will be used, in order:
1. Head to Head
2. Total points scored on the season
3. Record versus top five finishers (Records & then point totals)
Playoff Structure:
The playoffs will occur in Week 16 of the NFL season. The Super Bowl and the 3rd place game will take place in Week 17.
Division Winner with the best record (and pts if needed) vs. Wildcard (Highest Points)
Division Winner with 2nd best record vs. Wildcard (Best Record)
