Welcome, here are some extra rules & regulations that will be incorporated into this year, BIG PIMPIN' 2023 fantasy football league. Good Luck!!!
1. Entry fee is $100 for the league.
2. Remember, all times designated are Eastern Standard Time.
3. There will be a 16-player roster limit. Starting lineups (9 players) will consist of the following: 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1-DEF, 2-FLEX.
4. Owners must get their starting lineups in on time, commish will not start a player because you forgot to start
them & their game has already begun, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
5. Regular season shall be until Week 14. The playoffs shall be Weeks 15 & 16. The championship game is on Week 17.
6. Regular season schedule shall be 16 games, there will be double headers during weeks 12 & 14. I do this because at least this makes every team still available for a playoff spot up until the end and keeps everyone engaged the whole year (unless you just suck and your record is so bad)!
7. This year we have 12 teams so there will be two divisions with 6 teams in each division. 8 teams will make the playoffs.
8. Seeding in the playoffs is as follows: 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. Then after week 1 of the playoffs, it will go as the top remaining seed will play the lowest remaining seed. The 4 remaining teams that didn’t make the playoffs will be in the toilet bowl game and the winner will get 1st choice in draft position for the following year's draft.
9. Prize money is as follows: $200 for top division winners. The winner of the playoffs wins $500 & the Championship belt! The runner-up in the Championship game gets $100. And, the team with the most total points at the end of the regular season (through week 14) wins $100. The remaining $100 is used for the cost of the website.
10. Any circumstances that arise during the season, the outcome will be determined or resolved by the commissioner.
11. Trade deadline is Week 12, no trades can be made after this date!!! Trades must be made before 11:00 PM
Eastern time on Saturdays each week.
12. Owners may put up to 2 players on the IR(injured reserve) that will not be counted as a rostered player. The player must be on IR in the NFL or on the COVID list to be able to put them on the IR.
13. Decimal system for scoring is now in place.
14. Free agents that are released will not be available to pick up until the following week's waiver wire. Below is
an explanation of this:
What are protected free agents?
A league commissioner can choose to use protected free agents in his league. To use protected free agents
commissioners should go to the Commissioner -> Manage League menu option and select owner privileges. If a league uses
a first-come, first-served free agent free-for-all or a waiver wire followed by a free-for-all, then protected free
agents are an option.
A protected free agent is a free-agent player who has just been dropped or released by a team in the league and has
not cleared the protected time set by the commissioner. The commissioner can select the number of days a newly released
free agent is protected from being acquired by another team. The commissioner can select from 1 day to 14 days for all
free agents, depending on your league rules. Leagues using a waiver wire can also select "at next waiver wire" as the
availability time of newly released free agents.
For example, my league has a 2-day protective period to prevent collusion. If I release a player at noon on Tuesday, other owners will not be allowed to pick him up until noon on Thursday.
How do you know if a player is protected? A list of currently protected players will be displayed on your Add/Drop
page where you pick up free agents. Team owners will not be given the ability to acquire players while protected.
Commissioners, as always, can put any player on any team at any time. Don't forget there is a report that shows all
adds and drops where commissioners and owners can check transactions if you have questions about when a player was
dropped or added.
