Additional Rules:

2024 TSFL Rules

This League is organized for enjoyment and should be considered as such. All members shall participate in good faith and exude sportsmanship with intent toward good of the League.

1) Franchise Owners shall bring $40.00 Franchise Fee to the Draft. Commissioner Salary is No Franchise Entry Fee. Each trade is $2.00 (each team), each add/drop is $2.00. IR move as specified in Rule #14 is also $2.00. Commissioner Program expense assumed to be included in Franchise Fee. 

2) Draft shall consist of (13) Rounds with (2) Players designated as ‘forever keepers’ from previous season. Each team shall select a total roster consisting of: (2) QB, (3) RB, (4) WR, (2) TE, (2) K, (2) DEF/RET. 2024 Draft will be in reverse order of finish as determined by Play-offs and Toilet Bowl Tourney.. 2 Keepers must be turned in to Commissioner no later than 4:00 pm on MONDAY AUG 19, 2024. Missing this deadline results in A) $10.00 fine and B) Commissioner designates your (2) team keepers based on roster players with highest total points from previous year. The 2024 Draft will be TUESDAY AUGUST 27, 2024 - 6:00pm - Location - Lake Forest GC, Ann Arbor.

3) Each Franchise Owner shall submit a starting line-up consisting of (1) QB, (4) combination of 0,1,2 RB – 1,2,3,4 WR - 1,2 TE, (1) K, (1) DEF/RET into the online League website prior to Sunday at 1:00pm. If a team has players participating in an earlier game during that week, those players must be submitted as above prior to the start time of the appropriate game.

4) Scoring shall be the same as the TSFL Scoring within the League website. Note: If a kick-return specialist is a member of your team and scores a TD via return, that player gets credit for a TD (as well as the appropriate DEF/RET). Note: Only points scored against the Defense/Return team count toward actual points allowed. 

5) If two or more Franchise Owners wish to trade players, they may do so. A trade becomes official when both parties contact the Commissioner and verify the terms of the deal. The Commissioner then notifies the League Members via group text. League Members vote on approval within 48 hours of notification, 5 'no' votes results in a trade veto. No trades shall be permitted after 11:00AM Thanksgiving Day, 2024.

6) If a player is not on a fantasy team, he is considered to be a free agent and is available on the waiver wire. Available players can be acquired on a ‘worst team first’ basis via submitting that request through our TSFL2024 Online League System from Tuesday at 7:00am through Wednesday at 12:00 Midnight. Once a player is acquired, that respective team goes ‘to the end of the line’. The balance of players may be acquired on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis by the same process between 12:00 Midnight Wednesday and 1:00 pm Sunday (unless earlier game involved). This process will begin during Week 1 (SEP 5-9) of the NFL Season and will follow Draft Order for this week only. Transaction fees as in Rule #1. For each player obtained, a player must be released (he can then be acquired by another team for the following week) unless the player being acquired involves an IR move as listed in Rule #14. The opportunity to make moves as described ends with the subsequent departure from the Play-offs. Player acquisitions during the Play-offs are via the same process as above and allow Play-Off teams precedence over Toilet Bowl participants. (Removed Emergency Shootout Add/drop: An owner may add/drop (Transaction fee applies) players if he/she has no available player at any position due to OUT/IR status). 

7) A player traded during a playing season cannot return to the original team (via trade) until the end of the following season.

8) The Commissioner shall maintain the Schedule/League Alignment as per the League website. League shall consist of (14) teams in (1) Division, playing each opponent once, with a "Position Round" (1st v 2nd, etc.) during Week 14 - if 1st Place team has clinched prior to WK 14, a ‘lockout’ rule will apply - 1st v14th, 2v3,4v5, etc will commence). Play-offs occur during Weeks 15, 16, 17. Play-offs shall consist of 1st vs. 8th, 2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th, 4th vs. 5th in Round 1 - Week 15, the winners proceed to Round 2- Week 16, Championship Game (and 3rd Place game involving Week 16 losers) in Round 3 (Week 17). Toilet Bowl Tournament involves 9th through 14th place teams. All 6 teams participate in Week 15 with top 3 scoring teams advancing to TB Championship (Week 16). TB Champion (Most points in Week 16) receives Pick #1, Runner-up Pick #2, and 3rd gets Pick #3 in the First Round of the following year Draft. Balance of Draft is in reverse order of finish according to Play-off results. First Round losers occupy Picks 7 through 10, etc. Week 18 League Shootout---teams use their 'locked' roster to set a starting line-up, prize money to 1st, 2nd points. Seven (7)  Shootout 'teams' will be made up of 1st/14th, 2nd/13th, etc. - from regular season standings. Combined scores of the two 'teams compete for prize money.

9) Tiebreakers in standings shall be: Head-to-head, total points, coin flip.

10) Tiebreakers for Regular season and Play-off games shall be: total points of inactive players, regular season total points.

11) Commissioner shall maintain League website and assist members when needed.

12) Team names must be approved by majority vote of Franchise Owners and must not be offensive.

13) Rules may be revised/or added during Year-End Meeting by majority vote of attending Franchise Owners. Rules may only be changed at any other time by unanimous vote of Franchise Owners. A quorum at the Year-End Meeting is understood to be 33% of Franchise Owners.

14) INJURED RESERVE RULE: If you have a player listed as IR per the official NFL IR list, that player qualifies to be placed on TSFL IR. You may add a player (per acquisition process in Rule#6) and retain the IR player on your roster in an IR slot. Once a player is placed on your teams IR list, he cannot come off that list until he is activated by his NFL team. Note: Any IR players at the end of each season must be dropped (or retained and another player dropped) to attain roster status as in Rule #2. Deadline for dropping is NFL actual Super Bowl game.

15) Dispensing of League cash as follows: $30.00 to "Bob McDonald League MVP" (high overall individual active point leader during regular season), $15.00 to each active point leader in the remaining (5) categories, $10.00 to Runner-Up in each category (any ties will be broken by players/teams head to head game scores), $50.00 to regular season champions, 3rd Place Game winner receives value equal to League Entry Fee - currently $40.00, 4th Place receives $20.00, 5th - 8th Place receive $10.00 each (based on Play-Off results).  Week 18 Shootout Prizes - 1st - $50.00, 2nd - $20.00. 70% of balance to Championship Game winner, 30% of balance to Championship Game runner-up. 

16) League members shall vote (within 24 hours of notification) as final say on any and all disputes.

17) If a Franchise Owner does not attend the Year-End Meeting, a fine of $10.00 will be issued, payable at the following Draft at same time as, and additional to, the Franchise Fee. If the "Robert M. Barnes Memorial Trophy" is not brought to Year-End Meeting or Draft, a fine of $10.00 will be assessed. Year-End meeting shall be WED JAN 8, 2025 at 6:00pm (location - THE SPORTS BAR, 5510 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor MI 48103). Lack of attendance could result in dismissal from the League by vote of attending teams.

18)  If any Franchise Owners choose to leave the League prior to MON AUG 5, 2024, existing Franchise Owners may assume that team while giving up their own and assume any Draft Picks as such. Teams choosing to assume an available team must notify the Commish of that intent within 48 hours of Commish message stating team(s) available. This will be applied via ‘worst to first’ process, etc. In the case of requiring new Franchise Owners (via this method or Expansion), a “waiting list’ of possible Franchise Owners will be maintained. Waiting list has a chronological priority feature whereas length of time on list has priority over newer person, unless an 'accepted' returning owner has interest, thus moving to the top of the list.  NOTE: If after the above AUG 5, 2024 date, new owners inherit existing teams and above process does not apply.
