By-Laws

The pick up of free agents "must be with the sole intent of improving one's own team for the upcoming weeks".Do not pickup and hold / drop free agents with the intent of limiting your upcoming opponents free agent options.This shall be known as the "Ray Rule". Perceived abuse, by commissioner, shall lead to forfeit of game.

**Trades. Once two teams have completed a trade, the commissioner reserves the right to poll the league through our "League Poll's" option for input from the rest of the league. If the commissioner doesn't approve the trade immediately, he will post the trade on the League Poll for vote, and give the league 48 hrs to vote. If four GM's vote against the trade, the trade will be killed. The commissioner does not have the ability to see how GM's voted, only who has voted. Knowing this, it would be good to propose trades early in the week, if you intend to start your new player in the next game. Trades between GM's are allowed through week 10 of our league.


************************* Last Man Standing (LMS)***************************

Included in annual league fee's, is an opportunity for each GM to win the L.M.S. pool.

Starting with week 1 - Each of our 12 GM's will post, on our league message board, "confidence picks" for winners of our 6 League Games. Please get confidence picks in by the Thursday night kickoff each week.

 

Message board posting example:

Week 1 Example /Sir Veza Pick's ---->  6. Tequila Tosser, 5. Captain Chaos, 4. Poco Broco, 3. Watson Your Wallet, 2. El Boracho, 1. Red Dragons   (21 points will be a perfect weekly score if all of your selections win that week)

If my confidence pick of Tequila Tosser (6 pts) wins I get six points for that correct pick, and I get another 5 points if Captain Chaos wins, and so forth. You don't lose points for confidence picks that lose.

 

Our volunteer GM will tabulate the totals for each team's weekly success. All 12 GM's will stay in this game for 4 weeks and we'll eliminate the bottom 4 GM's after week 4's games are complete. The 8 remaining GM's will continue to post their weekly confidence picks for another 4 weeks & we'll eliminate the bottom 4 GM's. This will leave 4 GM's & these 4 GM's will post weekly confidence picks for another 4 weeks. Of these 4 GM's, our GM with the highest 4 week total for week's 9-10-11-12 will win our Leagues "Last Man Standing" - see prize payout below.

 

Failure of an eligible GM to get weekly confidence pick's in, defaults the GM's pick, in each of that weeks 6 League games, to the team w/ the lowest seasonal point total for each of the 6 matchup's that week. Let's say Sir Veza fails to get picks in....and Longshots has the lowest point total for all 12 teams in our league & he's matched up against Possum that week. Sir Veza's 6 pt. confidence pick defaults to Longshot for the "W". Let's say Razorback is 11th in the League in total season points and plays Poco Broco, Razorback would default into Sir Veza's 5 pt. confidence selection, & etc, etc until all of Sir Veza's 6 confidence picks are covered for the week.          

Point total ties at the end of week 4, 8, & 12 (which could determine elimination).....will be broken by success of all 6 pt confidence picks for the tied GM's, followed by 5 pt confidence picks success, etc.

In summary - we are dropping the bottom four GM's w/ lowest point totals after week 4 & week 8. We'll have 4 GM's left and the high point total over weeks 9-12 wins this game.

 


****************************** Tres Hombres********************************

Last year we ran this game on a weekly elimination & everyone selected a QB/RB/Receiver each week. This year we'll select Kicker/TE/DST each week for weeks 1-4 and eliminate the bottom four GM's after week four, based on a four week total for each GM. You will not be allowed to select the same DST/TE/K twice, during these first four weeks.

After week four, we'll go back to QB/RB/WR for the final seven weeks of this game. You still will not be allowed to select the same QB/RB/WR twice. We'll eliminate 4 GM's after weeks 5-8 (based on accumulative total) & then eliminate one GM per week in weeks 9-11.

If a GM or multiple GM's do not post "Tres Hombres" selections on the League Message Board by the above deadlines.....they get goose eggs for their three positions. If an owner accidentally select's/post's the same player twice during this competition, that player gets a goose egg for the 2nd week the player was selected.

To save confusion on multiple NFL players who share the same name, identify the players team on these scenarios.

This game is also included in your initial league entry fee and is not optional.

 

 

*****************************BAD BEAT*******************************

I have $50 left over after all league payouts.....so we'll let Captain Chaos select this year's "BAD BEAT" recipient after our League Championship is complete. Captain Chaos's selection receives $50 and will monitor the next years games to select a new "Bad Beat" title holder. This process will carry over from year to year.

The message board is off limit's for GM's to politic for this award after suffering a loss, however, luxurious gift's may be sent to the qualifying judge to help influence their decision.

 

  ****************************Playoff Teams*****************************

The top 6 teams qualify for league playoff money. These teams will be seeded 1-6 based on overall won-loss record. In the event we have teams tied w/ same won-loss records, tie will be broken by total points scored through regular season. The top two seeds in our 6 team championship bracket will get byes.

The remaining 6 teams will be seeded, using these same standards. The 6 teams in our Championship Bracket will compete for 1st-2nd-3rd place money and ultimately, next years draft order (7th-12th picks).The 6 teams which do not make the Championship Bracket will enter into a separate "draft position playoff" bracket, which will determine the next years top 6 draft selections in order The winner of this 6 team bracket receives $250. Since all draft selections are determined through our leagues year end playoffs, all rookie GM's who join our league will draft from the last draft spot/spots.

Injured Reserve (IR) - Please remember injured players put on your IR must have the "Officially on IR" designation. It appears RTSports has a new acronym "U" to identify PUP list/IR players. RT had previously used "Out" for the IR designation. 

IR may not be used to create an extra roster spot for suspended (S) player's.

The only part I dislike about Fantasy Football Commissioner is listing all these rules, hoping they are understandable, trying not to come off as a micro-manager, and hoping 98% of the confusable angles are covered. All the fun we have, absolutely outweighs the By-Law's. If something comes up and you have a question, call me at 432-260-6146 & we'll take it from there. On most rule requests/changes, I'll wait until the new season starts to implement.

  • League fee's - ($250 each) are paid at the draft and generate $3,000.00. I paid $130.00 for the RTSports Commisioner, so we'll have $2,870.00 in the pool for payouts....$250.00 for LMS, $250.00 for Tres Hombres, $50 for the "Bad Beat", $220.00 for Bottom 6 teams playoff bracket winner, $1,200.00 to our Leagues Champion, $600.00 to our second place team, & $300.00 to our third place team. ALL $$ IS PAID OUT AFTER OUR LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
