Fantastic Fantasy Football Rules (FFFL)
1. The Fantastic Fantasy Football League (FFFL):
a. The FFFL shall consist of 12 teams divided into three divisions.
b. Each team will have one vote on all League business.
c. All owners are bound by League rules and cannot sell or change their teams without League approval.
d. As a courtesy, team owners wanting to sell their team should notify the League prior to July 1 each year.
e. A quorum of 8 owners must be present or represented to alter or change any rule.
2. Team Composition:
a. Each team will consist of 12 Offensive players:
2 - K - Kicker, 2 - QB – Quarterback, 3 - RB - Running Back, 3 - WR - Wide Receiver, 2 - TE - Tight End
b. Two additional Offensive players may be added and used within the rules for player activation for a maximum of 14 players.
1. No team is allowed to have more than 2 QBs, or 2 Ks, unless the additional QBs, or Ks, are from the same team as one of their regular QBs, or Ks.
c. Any two Rookie players may be kept on the INACTIVE roster for the 1st 3 weeks of the NFL season.
NOTE: Points scored by inactive rookies do not count as bench points toward tie breaker scenarios.
1. All FFFL teams will be at the 14 player limit by the beginning of play of the 4th week of the NFL season.
2. Inactive Rookie players are dropped from rosters unless League is directed otherwise by team owner.
d. Players listed as HB can be used as TE provided they are listed as a HB @ NFL.com and/or team web site.
3. Schedule of Games:
a. The FFFL will have a schedule of 14 regular season games beginning Week 1 and ending in Week 14 of the NFL regular season.
b. Playoffs begin Week 15 of the NFL regular season and end with the FFFL Super Bowl in Week 17.
c. Pro Bowl will be in Week 18 of NFL regular season.
4. Player Activation:
a. Each week during the NFL season from week 1 through week 14, playoff teams week 15 through week 17, each team will activate for the scheduled games: 1 - QB, 2 - RB, 2 - WR, 1 – TE, 1 - K.
b. Each owner is responsible for activating players for games by start of Game No. 1 on Opening Day. (This is that teams activated players until that owner makes a change).
c. Activation of only the players in Thursday/Saturday game(s) prior to Sunday games is allowed.
1. Activated players involved in Thursday/Saturday games cannot be changed after start of Game No. 1 of that week.
d. A progressive fine for each event starting @$10 for any owner that does not activate a player for a bye week.
1. The progressive fine will be $10, $20, $40, $80 and so on.
5. Players Performance Points:
a. Each team will receive points for the performance of their players according to:
passing touchdown - 4 pts 1 pt every 300 passing yards
rushing touchdown - 6 pts. 1 pt every 100 rushing yards
receiving touchdown - 6 pts 1 pt every 100 receiving yards
field goal - 3 pts 1 pt for 55+ yard FG
point after touchdown - 1 pt
kick/punt return touchdown - 6 pts
rushing 2 point conversion - 2 pts for runner
passing 2 point conversion - 1 pt for passer, 1 pt for receiver
Any RB/WR/TE accumulating combined rushing and receiving of 150 yards without exceeding 100 yards in either category individually - 1 pt
b. After points of the activated players of each team are tallied, the team with the most points wins the game.
c. In the event of a tie the points of all players of each team are tallied.
1. The team with the most points after this procedure is declared the winner by one additional point over the original game score.
NOTE: Points scored by a bench player acquired after the start of that player's game are not counted in breaking the tie.
2. If the score remains tied after this procedure the game is recorded as a tie in the standings in the regular season.
d. Ties cannot be broken using 2nd team K or QB if opponent’s 2nd team K or QB is on a bye week in the NFL.
e. The following STEPS will resolve ties in the playoffs if still tied after Rule 5.c.:
1. Team with longest Kick for score shall receive 1 point.
2. Team with longest pass for score shall receive 1 point.
3. Team with the longest run for score shall receive 1 point.
4. Team with the longest reception for score shall receive 1 point.
5. Coin flip by the Commissioner (home team calls flip in the air).
6. Roster Moves Per Season:
a. A roster move shall consist of releasing a player and adding a new player to the roster.
b. Each team is limited to 14 roster moves per season.
c. There cannot be any roster moves after the FFFL regular season.
EXCEPTION: Teams in the playoffs are permitted to use as many roster moves that remain from the end of the FFFL regular season.
7. Trades:
a. Trades between teams are allowed.
b. All trades must be accomplished between the end of the FFFL Super Bowl and before the start of Game No. 1 at the beginning of the 10th week of play the following year.
c. All trades must be reported to the League before teams are permitted to activate those players for games.
8. Players on “Out” / “IR” status:
a. Players listed as “out/IR” @ NFL.com can be placed in that category on his FFFL team throughout the NFL regular season.
b. Teams are limited to one (1) player on “out/IR” status.
1. Injured players must INITIALLY be listed as “out/IR” to be placed in the “out/IR” status.
2. Injured players can remain in “out/IR” when their status @ NFL.com is upgraded to “doubtful or worse”, or until the injured player plays in a game and has a statistic recorded in the box scores @ NFL.com
3. The owner then must make a decision to keep him or release him per the intent of Rule 2.
c. A replacement player of the same position may be acquired and used in games per Rule 4.
d. Suspended Players: A suspended player is permitted to be retained on the roster and is carried on IR.
1. Teams that carry a suspended player are not permitted to carry another injured player on injured reserve.
9. Playoffs:
a. There will be 6 teams in the playoffs.
b. The division winners will advance (three) as do the next three teams with the best overall records.
c. NFL tiebreaker rules apply for gaining a berth in the playoffs.
d. Games between teams in the playoffs are determined per NFL rules.
10. Pro Bowl:
a. FFFL team offenses will be ranked 1 - 12 at end of Week 14. (Ties are broken by net point standings).
b. Teams will be odd vs even teams with highest ranked odd/even teams serving as Captains.
c. Team composition will be according to Rule 4.a.
d. Pro Bowl Team Captains will activate one player from each team, and one (1) additional player.
11. League Dues:
a. League dues will be $200.00 per team per year.
b. Dues will be paid at the annual draft meeting in August.
c. Teams are not permitted to conduct any team business after August 1 (except roster reductions) until dues are paid.
d. All games are forfeit until dues are paid.
e. Dues not paid by start of Week 2 of the regular season will result in the League assuming control of that team.
12. Payouts:
a. Each division winner will be awarded $50 (3 x $50 = $150).
b. Each team to make the playoffs will be awarded $25 (6 x $25 = $150).
c. Each winner of Round 2 of the Playoffs will be awarded $25 (2 x $25 = $50).
d. The Super Bowl Runner Up will be awarded $175.
e. The Super Bowl Champion will be awarded $800.
f. Each member of the winning Pro Bowl Squad will be awarded $10 (6 x $10 = $60).
13. Draft:
a. By 6:00 PM ET one week before the FFFL Draft each team will turn in a list of retained players to the League.
b. Teams can retain only a starting team of your choosing from the list of your players from previous years final roster.
c. All players not retained, will be draft eligible.
d. Teams not notifying League of retained players by the deadline will be fined $10, and will be fined an additional $10 for each day that passes without the team taking action.
e. Draft position will be in inverse order of previous years final standings.
f. Teams not present on Draft Day or have not paid their dues will have their selections made by the League for the first 5 rounds.
1. The selections will be made from the top 100 players available in the order of: 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 1 K.
14. FFFL Rules Changes and/or Commissioner Decisions:
a. There can not be any rule changes unless there are 8 members (or their proxies) in agreement.
b. The Commissioner will rule on points of conflict.
c. The Commissioner will interpret FFFL rules.
